American flag stirring controversy at York County high school Coleen Harry May 13, 2015 10:47 PM YORK COUNTY, NC (WBTV) - In Peyton Robinson's eyes, the American flag should be displayed. But at his school, York Comprehensive High School, the senior ran into a problem because he was displaying the flag on his pick-up.
"Just proud to be an American," the 18-year-old told WBTV. Robinson said a school administrator told him remove the American flag and the POW-MIA flag, which he has in the back of his truck.
"He said we're having some issues. Some people were complaining about the flags in your truck, possibly offend them. He asked me to take it down," Robinson said.

He should ask the school official "If I complained about being offended by a gay rainbow flag on somebody else's truck, would you take action against him, or ME?"
It seems to me the asshat school official just justified removing the bolts from his car’s wheels...
Or York County, Maine. Massabesic High is in a region of small towns.
Or York, SC.
WIS TV is in South Carolina
Thank you EC
sorry sir but I’m offended they are offended......f ‘em
If I were to try to count the number of times I get offended each day by the libs I’m sure the number would be quite high.
If these people are offended by a flag on someone’s PRIVATE PROPERTY, a pickup truck, I’m sure they would go into fits over my bumperstickers.
Free speech applies only to liberals nowdays.
Dang! Thanks Hatteras.
That’s why posters have to remember to mention which state. I’ve forgotten and done the same thing myself.

Maybe he should get in touch with just One Marine.
Seems like an organized event involving many flags at this school; needs to happen.
That kid needs to walk the school parking lot and make a note of all the bumper stickers and other things on cars that “offend” him. Get nitpicky as hell and push the issue.
And make sure he looks at the faculty’s cars too.
Minor detail:
NC does not have a York county...SC does, tho...
THAT said, the school is wrong wrong wrong.
They don’t give a damn. Kim Kardashian is the most important issue in their eyes. I asked other guys in my class (Mossy Oak and jacked up Silverado on mudders types) who were voicing concerns about the direction of our country if they knew who Harry Reid is. They had no clue. They know lyrics to the latest hip hop song though.
I hate that too. It’s a big world and not everybody is going to be familiar with your little corner of it.
I suspected the school was in South Carolina, but I went with what was printed in the article.
We got a right to trample on it with our feet and a right to burn it. But not a right to display it. Got it.
Heaven forbid if some minority was offended. The wheels would fall off until the offensive behavior stopped. No such consideration in this case.
So is it safe to assume there are no flags in the school?
