The musician, who has campaigned for and written open letters to President Obama, began his rant in standard fashion, calling Republicans loathsome and linking to a Los Angeles Times article about NASA funding:

Our side does. Seen all the “I’m not voting for Cruz” posts on threads lately? Total echo chamber. We went 430 posts last night on one thread with that idiocy alone.
Back in the 60’s tree was a psychedelic rock band associated with Jefferson Airplane by the name of Moby Grape
I’m sure their politics were about the same
I was referring more to the discipline it takes to learn about movement and structure when creating music.
Suck it, Moby.
This from a twit who’s named himself after the world’s biggest “Dick.”
Ah...Got it.
Very little of that. The music boards are filled with even experienced electronic musicians with actual label releases asking pretty basic composition/arrangement/Theory questions. Full disclosure - I’m NO pro by a long shot and don’t claim to be, so I’m just relaying what I see about that.
Flouncing, actually.

It’s a tough one. I’m no purist. It’s foolish to believe that any single instrument has more nobility than any other. That would be a very limiting way to see creativity.
That being said, the lack of knowledge and musical skill is terribly obvious with EDM. Arrogance on the other hand is shockingly high.

I’m primarily an 80s metalhead, but with a guilty love of pure sugary synthpop (thus the hobby) so I’m not opposed to simple. I like simple. But I also worship at the altar of Steve Vai and that sure ain’t simple.
But even simple is hard to do well without coming off as infantile (as you mentioned earlier) Unfortunately many EDM musicians program speak and spell music with the Steve Vai worthy level ego. And the crap just blows.
Vai. Anyone saying different is a homo ;)
LOL, yeah we had a guy that would literally punch you out if you didn’t agree that Jimmy Page was the greatest musician of all time.
He’s a homo ;)
LOL at anyone who reads HuffPo and thinks that that makes them “way too informed”.
Dammit...I responded too quick with the one liner. Let me rephrase the wizeass comment...
Ahem...
“Now I’ma letcha finnish, but Steve Vai is the greatest guitarist of all time...OF ALL TIME!!!”
There. Properly done ;)
Oops. Because mine is John Mclaughlin :)
Just as a side note, Moby is known to search his name for mentions on the net so lets make it worth his while.
He’s a homo! ;)
Never got into his stuff and being a Vai-head I should have, but it doesn’t click with me for some reason... but he is stupidly talented.
