As the rioting grew fiercer in Baltimore following the funeral of Freddy Grey on Monday, the Obama administration issued statements vowing to end the violence.

The readout also noted that Obama had spoken with Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake.
“The President highlighted the Administration’s commitment to provide assistance as needed and will continue to receive updates on the situation from Attorney General Lynch and White House Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett,” the White House explained, adding that Jarrett had spoken with Maryland Governor Larry Hogan earlier in the day.
Jarrett also spoke with Democratic Congressman Elijah Cummings of Maryland, from Baltimore, about the situation, according to reports.
By 9:00 p.m., as fires were breaking out across the city, Hogan revealed during a press conference that that Obama called to thank him for declaring a state of emergency in response to the rioting and asked him to exercise “due restraint.”

I once tried to raise rabbits because my little girl really begged me. I built the standard raised cage with roof and side small section wire sides and bottom (holes just big enough to allow the droppings to fall through. I thought it would be nice to put a small shallow box with a half perch lid where the mother rabbit could eat from the feed box through the fence near it and rest near any babies she had which I assumed would be in the box part below.

Yes this is an old story below.. try to prove that the Democrat Party would not do such a thing today. If ever Obama needed an excuse to impose the "will of the people" a 1960's style long hot summer is the way. There must be law and order and Obama is just the man to decide what.

It sure seemed to me that the Dems were ready to spark race riots -- which IMO the MSM employees would have used to demand that Bush concede and bow to the "will of the people" (a phrase often included in MSM reports on the election dispute).

You’ve got to be kidding. Exercising restraint is what has allowed all this destruction. Time to come down hard and end it.
It was a deliberate decision to let the thugs burn their own neighborhood, but not beyond it. This would allow the black thugs to relieve some of the steam that was boiling over. The idea is that no real harm has been done, except to themselves.
Now the day after, Obama can step in and offer huge incentives to rebuild the city with funds paid for by the white honky suckers. A form of reparations from the suburban tax payers to the down trodden black youth.

Obvious raising taxes on those who make over $400k per year isn’t creating more job opportunity as Democrats promised “jobs, jobs, jobs” and ex-Speaker Pelosi had criticized Republicans for not passing as many ‘Jobs bills’, oh really?
It’s a shame we don’t have a charismatic black leader who can waive his hand and bring these folks to peace.
