The Eagles have reached an agreement in principle with quarterback Tim Tebow, according to multiple media reports
Jay Glazer of Fox Sports, who first reported the news, said that Tebow will be in Philadelphia Monday to sign the contract. Glazer also reported that the Eagles are convinced he has improved since the last time he was in the NFL after spending time with his quarterback coach Tom House.

Not true...
The city of Tampa may lean left, but it's hardly a liberal cesspool...
Green Bay?
Him... I wonder if that’s what leadership gets you...?
but the “mediocre” team makes it to the playoffs. And didn’t they win a game in the playoffs? Surely given that even if he isn’t the best surely some lessor teams would be interested? Something isn’t passing the smell test here.
A pretty decent trade.
It is ironic how those two are linked with each other.
Did the Ravens give back Differ’s Super Bowl Trophy? Oh.
I think Terry Bradshaw and Jim McMahon have some Super Bowls, as well. Interesting how some “bad quarterbacks” have done.
That was then, Tebow has spent the past two years in training and reforming his throwing style...........If given a proper offense, I suspect he will do quite well........
Just curious, what do you have against the "Cult" followers of Tebow, which one would normally call Christians?
Jim McMahon won a Super Bowl with a 1985 Chicago Bears team that had one of the greatest defensive units ever to step on an NFL field. He couldn't get into the Hall of Fame with a certified check.
Your definition of cesspool and mine must differ.
Dallas and San Diego are the exceptions, but both have affluent suburbs included in the city limits and, in SD, a large military population. The actual cities are as politically skewed as the rest of them.
Doesn't the Philadelphia signing put the lie to your contention that Tebow is not an NFL caliber QB? Why would they sign him if that was truly the case?
Peyton Manning went 3-13 in his first 16 NFL starts and missed the playoffs in his rookie year.
Tim Tebow went 9-7 in his first 16 NFL starts and that included a playoff victory over the 12-4 Pittsburgh Steelers.
Now I'm not saying that Tim Tebow is another Peyton Manning but I am saying that he has the ability to be an NFL QB - in fact, he's already proven it.
The vast majority of buffalo Bills fans are from the buffalo suburbs and Canada. As a former season ticket holder and professional tailgater, I can tell you most fans are NOT liberals.
I’ve been to Philly and I live in the Tampa Bay Area....
One is definitely a cesspool of corruption, union thuggery, crime and violence, the other a pretty nice small city with a large military population and friendly people....with the problems all cities face...
At least the fan base here are not a bunch of thugs and reprobates.... Who taunt players about their dead children...
It’s only a subset of Christians that can’t internalize the fact that Tebow isn’t that good. The Tebowists act like a cult, they follow their leader and ignore his faults and insist he is perfect in all ways. In other words, they act like cult members, not like Christians.
Not at all. Phily signed him 4th on the depth chart. That’s 4th now, before the draft where many expect them to try to make a run on Marriota. 4th QB on the depth chart isn’t going to make the team, 4th QB on the depth chart goes to the practice squad if he’s lucky, but even there he’s backup because 3rd QB usually plays QB on the squad.
No, Tebow went 8-5 in his only 13 NFL start, and beat a Pittsburgh team that had mostly 2nd and 3rd stringers running the defense.
If he’d proven he has the ability to be an NFL QB then why did Denver get rid of him after he “took them to the playoffs”? If he’s proven he has the ability to be an NFL QB why did he land 3rd on the depth chart in NY, didn’t start a single game, and the GM that traded for him got fired? If he’s proven he has the ability to be an NFL QB why couldn’t Belichick figure out anything to do with him?
The answer is he’s hasn’t proven he has the ability to be an NFL QB. So far the data says he lacks the ability. Now he did a lot of time being coached up, so maybe he’s changed. But he’s 4th on the depth chart for a team expected to be drafting another QB, so maybe he hasn’t changed.
Doesn’t matter how bad your team is, if you’re the least bad team in your division you go to the playoffs, you even get a home game. Yep they needed over time to beat a seriously injured Steelers team at home, then the next week went to New England and got crushed like wine grapes.
Other teams have been interested in him, and eventually found him lacking. This would be the 4th team he’s signed for. It all passes the smell test just fine, people like him, by all accounts he’s an awesome person. People want him to succeed, he tries really hard. He’s actually gotten more shots than 90% of the washouts in the league. But when it comes time to be in the game he just doesn’t pull it off.
There’s a lot of ifs there. And we’ve been told he reformed his throwing style before. In the end he’s 4th on the depth chart and it’s highly unlikely he’ll still be on the team come Sept 10th. I’d be happy if he is, but it’s probably not going to happen.
Tebow did make it to be starting QB and has won more games than he lost. No matter how you spin it, he's already accomplished more than many journeyman NFL QBs. And he likely has more chapters to write on his career before all is said and done.
