(Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama said Washington is concerned China is using its "sheer size and muscle" to push around smaller nations in the South China Sea, just hours after Beijing gave a detailed defense of its creation of artificial islands in the contested waterway.

I guess he read about it in the newspapers.
{He allowed this buildup and bullying, though both Bush and Clinton (esp. Bill), helped too.

Sufficient capacity to conclude China controlling Taiwan would solve any crisis that could “result”.

I’ve labeled him a nine year old mentally, and I’m sticking to it. He is just that, a child.
It took him six years to figure this out?

Let's see....sanctions....that should work.
So simple...We'll no longer import from China.
We'l get everything we need from our new BFFs...Cuba and Venezuela.

Coming from comrade obama, it means nothing.

This might be a good thing..As I understand it (and someone correct me if I am wrong) China will allow U.S. companies to operate in China, but said company can never own anymore than 49% on Chinese lands (so they can seize it at anytime). Now, lets have muzzie-wonder piss off China (as he's pissing off damn well everyone else in the world) and China seize all those shops on their land. He might inadvertently bring U.S. manufacturing home and given how long it will take U.S. shops to get back up and running, it COULD be President Cruz who ignites the American industry again by the muzzie's short-sighted temper tantrums aimed at hurting America.
Shot in the dark I know, but I can have faith.

He doesn’t mind them controlling drilling in the gulf of Mexico. Why does he care about the south China sea?

It's the least he can do, considering that China has been pushing the limits there for several years now. Unfortunately, he has no credibility by now and the Chinese will just laugh him off and carry on.

Washington is concerned China is using its "sheer size and muscle" to push around smaller nations in the South China Sea Isn't it what Chinese Emperors used to do for the last three thousand years? China started small.

Opportunity knocks for them as it does for Russia and Iran. A weak ineffectual president who believes his ideals are loftier than anybody elses coupled with a weak and ineffectual congress that refuses to stand it’s ground and confront him.

I beg to differ, FRiends - his logic is serpentine and he knows exactly what he is doing - doing to us. And it's not pretty!
