WASHINGTON — A 17-year-old transgender youth, Leelah Alcorn, stunned her friends and a vast Internet audience in December when she threw herself in front of a tractor-trailer after writing in an online suicide note that religious therapists had tried to convert her back to being a boy.
In response, President Obama this week will call for an end to such psychiatric therapies aimed at “repairing” gay, lesbian and transgender youth, White House officials said. His decision on the sensitive issue is the latest example of his continuing embrace of gay rights.
In a statement to be posted on Wednesday evening alongside a WhiteHouse.gov petition begun in honor of Ms. Alcorn, Mr. Obama will condemn the psychiatric practice, sometimes called “conversion” or “reparative” therapy, which is supported by some socially conservative organizations and religious doctors. The petition has received more than 120,000 signatures in three months.
“We share your concern about its potentially devastating effects on the lives of transgender as well as gay, lesbian, bisexual and queer youth,” the statement, written by Valerie Jarrett, a senior adviser to Mr. Obama, says, according to a copy obtained by The New York Times. “As part of our dedication to protecting America’s youth, this administration supports efforts to ban the use of conversion therapy for minors.”
In an interview on Wednesday, Ms. Jarrett said Mr. Obama was moved by the story of Ms. Alcorn’s suicide. But she said the problem went far beyond her.
“It was tragic, but I will tell you, unfortunately she has a lot of company,” Ms. Jarrett said. “It’s not the story of one young person. It is the story of countless young people who have been subjected to this.”

Actually the hyper promiscuity and all that stuff is pretty mundane and de rigueur behavior just comes with the territory of being part and parcel of gay lifestyle.
I was even nonplused about practices such was fisting or erotic asphyxiation and other bizarre, twisted and self destructive but otherwise harmless or victimless fetishes.
It was the hamster parties, casual pedophilia (checkout NAMBLA, or better yet-don’t) and very dark and twisted group/ritual S&M and abuse subcultures.
Worst was the blatant sexual harassment and often outright coerced non consensual sex gays in positions of power forced straights, not mention other gays, into.
He's just looking out for his kind of people. Homosexual, mentally ill, assholes.

Mostly yes. If not mentally ill, then emotionally damaged and emotionally ill from trauma experience earlier in life. You are dead on accurate with the observation of self-loathing. It is, sadly, a core outcome in one who has been victimized and emotionally beaten in childhood.
Homosexuality or false gender identity is occasionally a manifestation of this trauma, but only occasionally. The self-loathing is, perversely, a core and frequent feature, with other frequent manifestations of depression and anxiety. Suicides and other negative actions are the consequence of the original traumas. Those who caused these traumas should be the target of inquiry, not the therapist who desires a healthier patient.
Another really odd idea is that boys or girls who like to dress like the opposite sex must really be that sex.
Yet at the same time they turn around and decry sexual role stereotyping. Isn’t that exactly what they’re doing?
From what I have read and studied on the subject, Forced Domination of others and especially Non-Homosexuals is very much part of the attraction for them.
Indeed, it was exactly what the Homosexual Nazis did whenever they could.
