If you type in the original page for Rolling Stones December 2014 story A Rape on Campus: The Struggle for Justice at UVA, youll be redirected to "What Went Wrong?, a report about the article published Sunday by the Columbia Journalism Review. Rolling Stone officially retracted its blockbuster story, which had garnered more than 2.7 million views. The retraction comes on the heels of the Charlottesville Police Departments announcement that there was not enough evidence to pursue an investigation of the storys titular rape, which now appears to have been something between a delusion and a hoax. . . snip . . .
In balancing a systematic critique on a single persons story, Erdely essentially used a rightwing strategy to make a leftist point. The trouble is only that the right is skilled at this game, and correctly deduced that undoing Jackies story would go a long way to endangering Erdelys larger structural point. Its an opportunity they never should have been given, both for Jackies sake, and for the sake of the victims who really do find themselves struggling for protection within a hostile justice system.

Leftists simply can't face the fact that most of them are liars. Like the UVA tale they're quite ready to concoct outrages out of whole cloth.
I see a long line of dudes dumping Ms. Crazy in the future. Then I see a long line of cats taking their place.
She has a PhD in Critical Thinking at Brown University.
You just can’t make this stuff up...
A rambling non-sensical article. At some point, people are not going to listen to lame excuses. And one of them might be a judge who is going to award the damaged millions of dollars.
I could see how that would trip up leftists. They don't know how to do that. Tha whole gathering/checking/sourcing procedure.
She’s a PhD student in Religion and Critical Thought at Brown University. She’s apparently a pro-life (Catholic?) too. Confused girl.
Make everything the Republicans fault. It’s getting old.
LOL!
This is precisely why liberals want to make it painless to vote, and have floated moving the voting age to 16.
Not all, but many of those young people are ripe for the liberal picking.
As Rush says, Brains Full Of Mush.
Bump
LOL, yes...you CAN!
Hahahahahaha...this is what passes for Critical Thinking in higher education these days, so...I am not in the least surprised that she has a PhD.
What it should be called is "Critical Thinking Studies", same as the other "studies" you see at colleges these days.
” Journalists”
You used the possessive form where the plural would have been correct.
Just put an “s’ on the end to make a noun plural.
You’re Welcome.

Tell me about "Tactics" again...
A book with a foreward thanking Satan....
She is the classic example of an ideologue.
Excellent analysis. Thanks!
>This is an unbelievable piece. “Rightwing tactics” are at fault for the Rolling Stone’s failed rape article.
This is an unnerving view into the mindset of leftwing journalism. Everything is politics. Politics equals the rightwing is always wrong.<
What a perfect case of liberal projection. It’s textbook. Sadly, their true believers will lap it right up.
They’re desperate.
Somehow, this will lead to blaming Bush.
