Monday on Fox News Channels On the Record Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said while he would support Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) if he won the Republican nomination for president in 2016, he is concerned because Pauls view of Iran is to the left of Obama.
Graham said, Basically is if Rand Paul is the nominee of the party I will support him but Rand Paul was the one senator that voted against my resolution two years ago saying that we will not allow Iran to get a nuclear capability and contain them. I think it would be lousy idea to give them a nuclear weapon and hope you could contain them. 90 senators agree with me.

Welcome, Liberty1st!
Please accept the apologies of many here for the uncalled for and arrogant conduct of some.
LOl, shouldn’t you wait until you find out more about this pro-Paul, anti-Cruz nooby, before you start groveling in front of him?
For that to happen, one needs a Pinochet type take over. That is what Konstatin Preobrazhensky said needs to be done when the Left is a powerful as it is. As I don't see that happening, we need a Conservative with a very sharp mind and Ted Cruz is the one who most fits the bill.
Rand Paul does not think it is anyone else’s business if a country wants to build nukes.
I’m not pro-Paul just yet, but don’t tempt me.
Tempt you with what, his being weak on defense, or his wanting to move the GOP to the left, and for conservatives to “evolve” and become more liberal, his being a pandering flake?
Ted Cruz is the only conservative in the pack, but conservative isn’t what you are looking for, is it.
I’ll hold my fire until the Constitution Party has nominated their candidate in 2016. I didn’t get to vote for them in 2012 ‘cuz they didn’t get enough signatures to make it onto the ballot here in AR, but hopefully 2016 will be different.
Thank you for the friendly welcome...I appreciate it. Please forgive me for my being nosy, but you didn’t choose your screen name from La Plata Peak, did you? :-)
You’re very welcome.
No, not La Plata Peak but La Plata County. I live in Durango. It’s cool that you know of La Plata Peak.
How are you familiar with my area and are you in Colorado?
Let me guess: Fort Lewis.
Maximilian I, Emperor of Mexico, was a younger brother of Austrian emperor Franz Joseph I. From the Wikipedia:
After a distinguished career in the Austrian Navy, he entered into a scheme with Napoleon III of France to rule Mexico. France had invaded Mexico in 1861, with the implicit support and approval of other European powers, as part of the War of the French Intervention [aimed at establishing a monarchist ally in the New World]. Seeking to legitimize French rule, Napoleon III invited Maximilian to establish a new Mexican monarchy. With the support of the French army and a group of conservative Mexican monarchists, Maximilian traveled to Mexico where he declared himself Emperor of Mexico on 10 April 1864.[2]Many foreign governments, including that of the United States, refused to recognize his administration. Maximilian's Second Mexican Empire was widely considered a puppet of France. Additionally, the Mexican Republic was never entirely defeated ...
which proved to be Max's downfall. The French withdrew their troops in 1866. Max opted to stick with his small band of Mexican monarchists, but they were overwhelmed by Republican forces. Max was duly executed in June 1867. He paid his executioners not to shoot him in the head, so that his mother could see his face.
Please indicate which part of the Constitution requires one to be a "natural born citizen" to run for POTUS. While you are at it, please explain how the Constitution defines "natural born citizen."

Rand Paul On Shutdown: "Even Though It Appeared I Was Participating In It, It Was A Dumb Idea"I said throughout the whole battle that shutting down the government was a dumb idea. Even though it did appear as if I was participating in it, I said it was a dumb idea. And the reason I voted for it, though, is that it's a conundrum. Here's the conundrum. We have a $17 trillion debt and people at home tell me you can't give the president a blank check. We just can't keep raising the debt ceiling without conditions. So unconditionally raising the debt ceiling, nobody at home wants me to vote for that and I can't vote for that. But the conundrum is if I don't we do approach these deadlines. So there is an impasse. In 2011, though, we had this impasse and the president did negotiate. We got the sequester. If we were to extend the sequester from discretionary spending to all the entitlements we would actually fix our problem within a few years.[Posted on 11/19/2013 12:16:51 PM by Third Person]
Rand Paul: Time for GOP to soften war stance...by softening its edge on some volatile social issues and altering its image as the party always seemingly "eager to go to war... We do need to expand the party and grow the party and that does mean that we don't always all agree on every issue" ... the party needs to become more welcoming to individuals who disagree with basic Republican doctrine on emotional social issues such as gay marriage... "We're going to have to be a little hands off on some of these issues ... and get people into the party," Paul said.[Posted on 01/31/2013 5:08:50 PM PST by xzins]
Rand Paul's immigration speech...The Republican Party must embrace more legal immigration.[Posted on 03/19/2013 7:04:07 AM PDT by Perdogg]
Unfortunately, like many of the major debates in Washington, immigration has become a stalemate-where both sides are imprisoned by their own rhetoric or attachment to sacred cows that prevent the possibility of a balanced solution.
Immigration Reform will not occur until Conservative Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution. I am here today to begin that conversation.
Let's start that conversation by acknowledging we aren't going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.
If you wish to work, if you wish to live and work in America, then we will find a place for you...
This is where prudence, compassion and thrift all point us toward the same goal: bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society.
Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors.
Rand Paul calls on conservatives to embrace immigration reformLatinos, should be a natural constituency for the party, Paul argued, but "Republicans have pushed them away with harsh rhetoric over immigration." ...he would create a bipartisan panel to determine how many visas should be granted for workers already in the United States and those who might follow... [and the buried lead] "Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers...[Posted on 04/21/2013 1:52:42 PM PDT by SoConPubbie]

Rand Slams Congress for Funding Egypt's Generals: 'How Does Your Conscience Feel Now?'Sen. Rand Paul is hammering his fellow senators for keeping billions in financial aid flowing to Egypt's military -- even as Cairo's security forces massacre anti-government activists. Rand Paul's "pro-life" position is basically that abortion should be illegal, but include "exceptions" for just about everything. In other words, he is just fine with the murder of an innocent baby every 24 seconds.
dims NEVER leave the plantation....they love the free stuff toooooo much.
He will syphon votes away from any other true conservative out there and make it more likely that Bush will be the nominee.
Conservatives MUST prevent that
