Monday on Fox News Channel’s “On the Record” Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said while he would support Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) if he won the Republican nomination for president in 2016, he is concerned because Paul’s view of Iran is “to the left of Obama.”
Graham said, “Basically is if Rand Paul is the nominee of the party I will support him but Rand Paul was the one senator that voted against my resolution two years ago saying that we will not allow Iran to get a nuclear capability and contain them. I think it would be lousy idea to give them a nuclear weapon and hope you could contain them. 90 senators agree with me.”

Yep....IIRC, when I was in grade school, the definition that I learned was that BOTH parents must be US citizens at the time of the POTUS candidate’s birth.
I don’t remember if it mattered to the Founders whether or not that person was born on US soil. McCain might not have been born on US soil (he didn’t have much choice in the natter), but his father was an Officer for the US Navy, so it’s hard to NOT be raised in a family whose hearts didn’t beat w/ a love for the US in that case. Wasn’t his mother a nurse on the Naval base?

I used to be, for about 6 months in the late 1990’s...& it was through the LP that my interest in the Founders grew, & after reading George Washington’s Farewell Address, I left the LP & became an Independent after he criticized what he called “The Spirit of Party”.
Since Obama’s biological father (or his step-father) was never a US citizen, it is now an established precedence that both parents need not be US Citizens.
And McCain was eligible because his father was abroad on government business. But Cruz parents were not on official government duty in Canada IIRC.

No one has to be a government employee, for their American kids to be natural born Americans, when born outside of our border.

I ***wish*** we could have payback. Personally, I believe that Obama belongs in prison. I seriously doubt if the next POTUS will hold him to account for anything he has done, regardless of whether we get a true Conservative or a semi-Progressive NeoCon. Like Judge Andrew said, POTUS “A” will never have POTUS “B” arrested, not matter what POTUS “B” may have done, ‘cuz he doesn’t want the POTUS “C” that follows to arrest him.
The only true conservative in the race for 2016 is Ted Cruz.
