Senator Lindsey Graham, a possible 2016 Republican presidential contender, said the United States should put off a final nuclear agreement with Iran until after the U.S. election and said Democrat Hillary Clinton could get a better deal.
The South Carolina Republican sharply criticized President Barack Obama's negotiating skills in talks to contain Iran's nuclear program. The only candidate he mentioned by name as being able to do better was the Democrats' presidential favorite.
"Keep the interim deal in place. Allow a new president in 2017, Democrat or Republican, to take a crack," Graham told CBS' "Face the Nation" program. "The best deal comes with a new president. Hillary Clinton would do better. I think everybody on our side except maybe Rand Paul could do better."
Many Republicans have criticized the Obama administrations negotiations with Iran as not tough enough and greeted the framework agreement reached last week in Lausanne, Switzerland, with skepticism.
Clinton, Graham's former colleague in the U.S. Senate and Obama's first secretary of state, called the framework agreement an important step toward preventing Iran from getting a nuclear weapon....

The exhumed corpse of Neville Chamberlain could have negotiated a better deal.
I’m not certain Hillary could have, but I have no doubt the Clinton foundation would have ended up a few million dollars richer in the process.
In Grahamnesty’s case, probably both.
Lindsey is trolling for SecDef in the Hillary administration, IMHO.
PRESIDENT PEE WEE HERMAN could have gotten as “good” a deal!
Obies DOG as well!
I would say that Lindsay is the latter.
How do you say “reset button” in Farsi?
Has Graham endorsed Hillary yet?
I see a mistake in this article right at the beginning. It says Lindsey Graham is a possible 2016 Republican presidential contender. I’d say no way in Hades is he a contender. Calling him a Republican is questionable enough!
Go away, Lindsey. Disappear up John McCain’s posterior already.
If I want to know what some effeminate incompetent d-bag who screws over his constituency thinks, I’ll ask Obama.
Calling him a "him" is questionable enough.
Not talking at all to Iran would have been a better deal. Obama has shown us how to turn a difficult circumstance into a complete disaster. Nuclear war will be his legacy, but so long as the Democrats and the liberal media think they can pin the blame on GWB or the Republicans, they’re good with it. Total suspension of reality.
Just a question ... Why the heck are we begging Iran for a “deal”...when we are theoretically the world power?
Another poster said it best (sorry, I don’t remember what poster, but if you read this, ping me and I’ll credit you). He or she said, “Obama is in the cockpit and the door is locked.”
I saw a cartoon to that effect recently.
Being among the screaming passengers in the back of the plane is no fun.
Our whole country is being held hostage on the back of that plane.
“Why the heck are we begging Iran for a deal...when we are theoretically the world power?”
Because Iran already has a few nuclear devices and this admin is setting up the next admin (likely to be R) to take the blame, so Dem legacy will not be sullied.
