INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) The state of Indiana is watching dueling GoFundMe campaigns after the firestorm of RFRA.
One was established for Memories Pizza and the other for LGBT youth in Indiana.
Memories Pizza is the Indiana pizza shop whose owners said their religious beliefs wouldnt allow them to cater a gay wedding.
Their GoFundMe site, benefiting the restaurant had raised more than $550,000 as of Friday morning.
The Indiana Youth Group had a campaign established to raise funds that is in direct response to the Memories Pizza campaign.
As of Friday morning, they had raised $2,700.
Their GoFundMe site states that Take a minute after youre done trolling Memories on Yelp and being angry about it on Facebook and Twitter and put $1 where your mouth is and do something positive that will have a direct impact on LGBT youth in the state of Indiana.
It’s quickly approaching 170 donors for each donor on the other site
Back at you.
Yet the Freepathon has only raised less than $4k. We need to put our money where are words are.
Support freerepublic.com, I do.
If the news reports keep up, it might hit a million!
It isn’t just Christians contributing to Memories Pizza. Atheists and homosexuals are, too. They want no part of the bullying.
Does GoFundMe show statistics...
Also, there are conservative jillionaires too. They may act more slowly — they do not knee jerk very often — but eventually they do act.
Freerepublic ought to be advertised all over the country. It might be a best kept secret.
I’m a monthly contributor. Hopefully everyone else jumps aboard and we end these Freepathons forever.
It does beg the question. Maybe not for burning down businesses that aspire to religious freedom, but for hiring lawyers to sue businesses that do not cater to deviance.
300 club guy here.
It is probably wise to avoid any word containing “blow” in this thread. Just sayin’.
If you were homo but really allergic to the drama, you might hate this wild jag too.
The recent comments of the “gay” Italian designer team Dolce and Gabbana are an amusing reminder. They all but trumpeted to the whole world that the traditional family is blessed of God. They still have some idea of what side their bread is buttered upon.
Why would they want a man to put a dollar on another man's p****?
Worse than just a p****
I mentioned on another thread that I know a couple supporters of same sex marriage who donated, and are actively encouraging others to donate as well.
This is, like Chik-fil-A, a response to bullying, coercion and intimidation. Attacking Christian businesses who refuse to cater same sex weddings, threatening to rob them, torch their stores down and burn them to death goes well beyond what is acceptable in civil public discourse. And the public is now responding with understandable outrage and support.
But, but, but...homosexuals have soooooo much more disposable income. Isn’t that why every big business bows to their every whim?
Will watch and see what happens.
They managed to get huge herds of sheeple marching in tune with their hate.
$658,157 of $200k
Raised by 22,234 people in 1 day
Might send them $1 and indicate I’m a Memories supporter.
The sodomite youth are pleading with ‘famous people’ to support their cause with a cash donation ASAP. (’Famous people’ = leftists with cash to burn.)
