Obama Complains It’s Easier to Buy a Gun Than a Book or Fresh Vegetable

As long as you can go in some neighborhoods and it is easier for you to buy a firearm than it is for you to buy a book, there are neighborhoods where it is easier for you to buy a handgun and clips than it is for you to buy a fresh vegetable, as long as that’s the case, we’re going to continue to see unnecessary violence,” Obama said in a response to a question at the town hall meeting at Benedict College.

Dear Mr. President,

You can have my vegetables when you pry them from my cold, dead fingers.

Sincerely,

Me

P.S. I will send you all of my peas and leeks for free.

If only he was as concerned about the availability of crack cocaine in those neighborhoods.

Now that would be an illuminating project - a map of violent crimes in each state with a color overlay of how that neighborhood voted in the last HoR election.

I didn't realize it was such a problem to buy a head of lettuce or a bag of tomatoes. Heck, several grocery stores in my area have cantaloupes and watermelons year around.

It does take more identification and signature authorization to buy OTC pseudoephedrine sinus pills than prescriptions — thanks to government OVER-regulations.

Obama is myopic because most of those causing gun violence are doing so with guns bought in back allies or stolen from vendors -- not purchased through legit stores that sell guns. Obama needs to call his ole buddy Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanual about the amount of gun violence in Chicago.

He is winding....for another Executive Order. Mandatory registration of all handguns I bet."

Not to worry, Congress would never let him get away with that...

He’s right on that. However, take out NYC, Chicago, DC and Detroit and we rank 29th in the world. These cities already have the strongest anti gun laws in the country. They’ve also been Progressive controlled for decades. What do we learn from this?

Soooo, people are killing each other in places like Chicago because they can't get a decent cantaloupe?

Riiiiight.

Let me plug your location in to my Garmin so I can get some easily accessible weapons that are easier than celery to get. Now, if we’re talking ground beef, that might be an issue. :>}

If only one politician had the backbone to stand up and say, “Yes Mr. President, in a neighborhood controlled by criminals it is easy to buy a gun without going through the registration and permitting process required by law of law abiding citizens. Instead of pointing out the obvious, why don’t we have a real conversation about the reasons it is easy to buy guns from criminals in communities where there is no bookstore or a grocery store selling fresh produce. Could it be the government paid community organizers and activists do nothing to organize the people against the criminals. Could it be a culture that promotes dependency, glorifies sexual permissiveness, disdains education and self improvement, and punishes snitching? Could it be the community leaders benefit from the criminal activity? Is it coincidental that the centers of gun violence, and widespread availability of unlicensed firearms are the inner cities with the toughest handgun laws in the country? Why is it that anti-gun legislation plus the spending of billions of dollars on the criminal justice system and social programs has not eradicated the problem of gun violence in the inner city?”

Will John McCain stand up? How about Lindsay Graham? Jeb Bush? Chris Christie? Marco Rubio? Scott Walker? John Boehner? Mitch McConnell? How about ex presidents George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush? Will no one challenge the lies and distortions?

But when it comes to voting, no ID required. Kinda weird huh? :>}

If Barry says it is this easy to buy a gun — any gun — then let him buy a gun in Washington, DC, under is REAL name. [By the way, what IS Obama’s real name? Does anyone know?] Talk about instant rejection (and blow to his ego).

Of course they are. In fact, the obama "just us" department was giving them away free.

One of the “neighborhoods” where that is true is Ferguson MO. And Team Obama is making sure it will continue to be true in perpetuity.

Shouldn't we be asking what the hell is wrong with those "neighborhoods"?
