Christian owners of a bakery in Gresham, Oregon, who were forced to close their business in 2013 due to backlash over their refusal to bake a cake for a lesbian wedding based on religious objections, were found guilty of discrimination Monday and now have to pay the couple up to $150,000 in fines.
The Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries announced that the owners of Sweet Cakes by Melissa bakery, Aaron and Melissa Klein, will have to pay the sapphic couple. Whether or not they pay the maximum $150,000 fine will be determined at a hearing on March 10 BOLI spokesman, Charlie Burr

That needs to be appealed all the way to the Supreme Court. Surely there must be some conservative law group that will take this case on.
alliance Defending Freedom would probably take the case.
Tyranny any way you cut it.
Bow to your new masters and pray that they be merciful.
I would demand they throw me in jail
It’s too late. The only people who count in this country have had enough of Christian morality. They’re going to crush out anybody who speaks up for it.
Ordered to pay $150,000?
How about “no”.
Here we go. The sodomites and perverts use the courts to destroy Christians!
I would move back to El Salvador rather than pay the demonic couple.
Hopefully, they’ve liquidated their assets and are no longer living in the state.
You know where they can stuff the frosting ;-?
If they aint extortion.. State sanctioned..
Someday the American Revolution might have to be fought all over again.
I don’t remember where but some Christian went into a bakery owned by two gay men and demanded they make a cake his way with Bible versus that condems sinners and the sin of homosexuality.
They refused. He’s suing. Double standard anyone?
“Ordered to pay $150,000?”
Even if by some perverse way they are truly guilty, they’ve lost their livelihood and the fine is obscene. The homos could have just moved on.
On the other hand, the business serves the public. Is there any standing in law to refuse service based on personal belief particularly since the 50s or so? Seems they could have just said they were too busy or something.
Fines? As in a criminal penalty? I assume this means “damages” not fines, and that the couple was found to be liable, not “guilty”. (If we are going to fight publicly for this couple, we need to get out legal terminology straight.)
At any rate, what an utter miscarriage of justice.
Principles always havea cost..
It’s Oregon - what’s not worse - california maybe. Conservatives should move out of those liberal communist states and let the liberals eat each other - they soon destroy anything they touch anyway.
This is a case that demonstrates we don’t need to appeal this to the supremes. Rather we need to man our armies.
Found guilty of common sense?
