The Talk Shows
January 25th, 2015
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): White House chief of staff Denis McDonough; Gov. John Kasich, R-Ohio.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): McDonough; former Gov. Mike Huckabee, R-Ark.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): McDonough; Sens. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif.
THIS WEEK (ABC): McDonough; Gov. Bobby Jindal, R-La.
STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): McDonough; former Sen. Rick Santorum, R-Pa.; Reps. Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill, Adam Schiff, D-Calif, and Ruben Gallego, D-Ariz.; former Gov. Jon Huntsman, R-Utah.
A couple of more thoughts on the lead up to the state of the union;
How do you build an economy from the middle class-out? Or is this part of the forced sharing tax increases on the ‘rich’?
The logic: Raise taxes on the rich, and theres more prosperity for all!!! Your not sharing... And your free not too.
But that’s just it, as in the American Sniper movie, Democrat constituents feel free to criticize it, but if the rich are not sharing their wealth they should have it taken away by government.
During their “recovery summer” the rich did very well, but just didnt share enough with the middle class. QE3, the Federal Reserve bond buying scheme allows $80billion/month to causes stock market inflation to support a “recovery summer” illusion.
See its easier to play offense against Republicans than admit your mistakes and make an honest effort going forward.
This is an enjoyable article today. Thanks for posting it.
My only complaint is 0zero is bad on energy but that expands to the entire Democrat Party. Progressive Democrats are especially bad but even old line Democrats are to blame because they continue electing the leaders they have. Everything you wrote can be said about the political philosophy of the Democrat Party.
BIBI on Fox!
Thanks for the thread, AB.
We’re going to see more Democrats coming out as they want to dictate the agenda for discussion. Heaven forbid that Democrat might have to address issues that are important to all Americans. They’ll lament climate change while ignoring what’s happening with foreign affairs or domestic issues such as jobs or the massive numbers of people on food stamps. Let alone illegal immigration and the costs associated with it.
McDonough is taking credit on FOX News for lower gas prices and more production. Wallace says no help from the administration.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): McDonough;
McDonough just explain we keep out of internal politics in Israel, Great Britan and other countries. Then a round table guest tries to explain Yemen and Hutoo’s. And now Brokaw is talking Saudi’s and Shia’s in Yemen.
Seems McDonough doesn’t really know what he’s talking about when he says “we keep out of internal politics”...
‘One assertion was that if Nancy Pelosi invited Bibi without telling Dubya the pubs would have been mad about it.
I agree...whatsay you?’
If Bush had ruled like a monarch on major, incredibly crucial issues the way Obama has done via EOs and memoranda, both the Dems and the MSM would have been splody heads. There wouldn’t have been enough smelling salts in DC to revive the mass fainting spells that followed the shrieking, screaming hysteria. Bush would have been impeached long ago.
The outrage over Netanyahu’s invitation is way, way overdone. The left’s hypocrisy knows no bounds.
Exactly right, he is simply an echo chamber of the liberal dogma. They have always hated fossil fuel since it is the foundation of capitalism.
Obama just met with David Cameron, who is up for re-election in a few months, and basically endorsed the guy.
NO possibility of that happening, so no way to predict how the pubs would have felt. Now, is Nancy Pelosi had invited Fidel Castro or Osama Bin Laden, the republican reaction would be more predictable.
Oh, he knows.
He's just sitting there spouting the Lie of the Moment.
...and those [BLEEP]s on those "news" outlets wouldn't even twitch if he came in announcing that the sky was green and he just rode in on a unicorn.
Apparently Face The Nation could not find a Republican, so they have packed the show with Democrats and other people who hate Republicans.
FNS...McDonough, WH spokesmouth:
Highly recommend skipping this segment, lying POS. Wallace slapped him around a bit.
re: Panel on Boner/Bibi/Obola dustup....Liz Cheney bichslapped the smarmy Ron Fournier apologist who dredged up the “innappropriate” “Mission Accomplished” comment as a Bush Failure.
Crazy-eyes Kasich up now, saying how much of the vote he wants. Talking about “Balanced Budget Amendment” Criticizing Deflategate.
Didn't stop BAM from having Cameron call Senators against sanctions bill.
His eyes don’t look that crazy this morning.
Kasich says those critical of “Common Core” (Jindal etc) helped create it.
He states that the educational standards are created at the local schoolboard level NOT a single program. Asked critics to prove him wrong.
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Gov. John Kasich
Wallace seems to believe the recently made-up term “Middle class economics” as he challenges his Republican guest.
Kasich goes on to school him on the the 90’s capitol gains tax cut surplus.
Election 2016 Republicans should be able to retire many more Democrats with this false theory of “Middle class economics” if they are not gullible as Wallace and buy into it being a real field in the study of Economics.
NO!
They need to scream from the rooftops that "CO2 IS NOT POLLUTION!"
Harmless CO2 and water vapor are virtually the only components of auto exhaust. Everything else has been "converted".
This is part of the Democrats mantra against “trickle down economics” as they try to claim their theory is to support the middle and let it trickle up or down from there.
What this really is is comparing supply side to demand side economics. Their claim is trickle down supply side does not work and hasn’t since Bush and Reagan did it. They even try calling it “old” and “failed” policy that we don’t want to return to. Hillary and Warren have both said this.
Well, we’ve been doing demand side for eight years. It seems to me that hasn’t worked out very well. It’s the old give a fish versus teaching fishing argument. Giving the fish does not sustain the individual over time.
She would have invited an enemy...Chavez, Castro or Putin...not Netanyahu.
