While your kids at school get the slop that Michelle Obama dictates that they do, her kids get something, um, different.
At their exclusive private school, the Obama daughters get food far better than you’d get at home, or in most restaurants.
Michelle Obama has made childhood obesity her pet issue, much like Nancy Reagan did with drugs or Laura Bush did with literacy. Fair enough.
However, the first lady’s nutritional strictures have left school lunches a little, um, not lunch-like.
It may lead you to wonder what Michelle’s kids are getting.
Well, wonder no further! We have what Sasha and Malia are getting at the Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C. (H/T Mad World News).

I’m sure that when the school charges a bazillion dollars in annual tuition then some of that money makes it to the cafeteria. The only question I have is whether any of the menu items listed violate the dietary standards imposed on the public schools?
You couldn’t expect the Obamas to eat peasant food, could you?
Daym, that sure beats the baloney sandwiches I’ve been having for lunch lately......some days I even have a pickle with it.
Weren’t we told that the free breakfast and free lunch helped because often these were the ONLY meals these kids got all day? Now suddenly they are getting TOO much food and she has to drop the calorie counts in the meals? In essence she is starving the ultra poor children.....

I really liked Vienna Sausages and crackers. Never had them served as a school lunch but we would walk to the local corner store and wipe them out.
I don't really know, but I'd guess Bill Gates fried his brain on grape flavored sugar and fatty fatty fat fat Peanut Butter ... and look wht HE did ...
Until he got rich and started eating like the obola kids.
Gee they eat better than I do. Pureed squash, Pureed Turkey. Thickened Milk, Pureed Potatoes, Pureed Pumpkin Pie and a shake.
What’s the tuition 35,000? At that price lunch better be damn good!
Does the chef choke the chicken before he jerks it?

In school, (way) back in the day, I pretty much lived on Underwood Deviled Ham sandwiches .... on white (not wheat) bread.
Doesn’t infuriate me at all. A private school can serve whatever it wants. (yeah, I know the larger picture here).
It does when they tell you what your kids should eat.
Everyone in my Title 1 school receives free breakfast and lunch. If they stay for tutoring, they get a snack. I eat breakfast at home and bring my lunch every day...my cost for a free lunch is $4.25!
When I was in high school I remember getting to homeroom and my stomach starting to growl. Why? Because I was too lazy to fix myself some breakfast, so yeah, I went to school hungry.
