I’m sure that when the school charges a bazillion dollars in annual tuition then some of that money makes it to the cafeteria. The only question I have is whether any of the menu items listed violate the dietary standards imposed on the public schools?

My kids eat leftover dinner for lunch, at home, with the only people responsible for educating them.

I don’t think the food items shown in the link violate the government standards, and of course with high tuition you get better food service.

I don't understand the hubbub. It's a private school. Parents pay way too much money for fancy lunches.

Actually the school lunch thing is the one thing, and the only one thing, I agree with Moochie about. Kids are fat arses these days. They grow up to become unhealthy adults milking the system. They need to eat their green beans. Don't like it? Tough luck. Children don't get to dictate their meal demands to adults. That's another problem with the new America. Wimpy parents.

Kids want to eat twinkies everyday? Fine, but don't expect US tax dollars to pay for it. Eat your "free" bean salad and if you don't like it kid get a job and buy your own damned lunch.
