As Mayor Bill de Blasio took the podium Saturday at the funeral of P.O. Rafael Ramos, thousands of police officers in the streets watching video of the service inside turned their backs, in unison, to the monitors.

Quick get out your barf bags----this is truly nauseating.
Sicko mayor and his wife (gag) "pray" (hoping they
won't get kicked into the street on their filthy rear ends).
RESUME ENHANCEMENT PROGRESSIVE-STYLE During DeBlobbio's campaign his wife Chirlane I. McCray was billed as a writer, poet, editor, communications professional, and political figure who published poetry and worked in politics for the Clintons.
THE REAL STORY
THE ODD COUPLE
Mrs DeBlobbio loudly declared her lesbianism in a magazine article---she was in a black feminist lesbian group and wrote poetry about being a lesbian. Politicker noted her husband's campaign website doesn't reference her background as an avowed lesbian and a lesbian activist or lesbian poet: It notes her affiliation with the Combahee River Collective, omitting mention of the groups lesbian roots, referencing it as "a pioneering black feminist collective."
They met while both worked for Dinkins. She says she had a nose ring and wore African garb when he spotted her and was completely smitten. She never told his she was a lesbian. And later said after their marriage she was still attracted to women.
During the campaign, she was asked about her lesbian lifestyle----she retorted she "didn't understand the question."
The Blobbio's honeymooned in Communist Cuba. Musta been a shock on their wedding night when Blobbio came out of the shower in a towel. "You want to put what where," said the startled lesbian.
Wow...the only thing missing is the three finger salute...
Aka: hunger games...
Then the family’s wishes prevail, and the mayor should have been there.
Since the officers were outside, I think it was ok for them to register their displeasure towards the mayor.
Defenestration, it gets the point across.
Just sayin.
Me either. Might get mugged.
If that was my family member he would have been KEPT OUT at any cost and if not then I would have spoken about how we didn’t want him there and he insisted on appearing anyway. I would have made it very clear that he was not wanted and was not invited.
Sorry, but those outside are as much a part of the service as those in the church.
I’m 100% with you on that!
” ,I think turning their backs and chatting, even though it was outside on Myrtle Avenue was disrespectful to the family and to their murdered brother.”
Isn’t that special.
Walter Wilhelm disrespects the cops, agitates for their murder with Al Sharpton, and you think they should be respectful to the guy spitting in their faces and disrespecting them.
He was late for the wake last night. Came at 9 PM
I think he was two hours late for the wake but appeared to be 30 minutes late for his photo op right on time at the funeral.
How classy for the bastard.
He probably had to stop off and bolster his courage with a few lines of cocaine.
No,not really. Inside,in full view of the family, it is disruptive, and possibly hurtful.
Outside, it is a legitimate and well deserved expression of contempt for the mayor.
Outside, one is an observer of the ceremony, not a part of it. Now, at some point, e.g. as the casket is put in the hearse, the police officers could become part of the ceremony, as an honor guard or as a unified display of their respect for a fallen brother - at such a time the move would be inappropriate.
Outside, when the mayor is speaking inside, not so much.
That is quite a picture.
Did you actually read my words. Their act was disrespectful to Officer Ramos’family. If they want to rally at City Hall tomorrow I will be there with them, but the funeral is sacred and they disrespected it.
I’d say the mayor disrespected it.
He knew he wasn’t wanted there.
Okay, now THAT’S funny!
Only 24% of NY City registered voters voted in the 2013 election for mayor.
Be Blasio won 72% of that 24%.
So he was elected by 17% of the registered voters.
It was an opportunity missed by the other 83% of voters to send him packing.
