Hello all. Sitting here at home and wondering if anyone else out there is spending this evening alone.
On this night of all nights when families gather and friends share gifts and time, some of us are, for various reasons, spending Christmas Eve solo.
Not necessarily a bad thing - alone doesn't always mean lonely. But, it does mean alone.
Check in if that includes any of you, my fellow Freepers.

Thank you. I'll check that out. The Earth and Moon in HD live wallpaper is also stunning. Let's watch the IMAX "The Dream is Alive." After we can listen to the soundtrack while playing with these apps. SPACE!!! I love SPACE!!!

Excellent for you! Pork chops are great. I got my share of munchies tonight too. Cherry pie and diet sodas. I’m firing up the charcoal grill tomorrow.
And a happy new year to you!
To: Vendome
Yeah, I pray for you a better year. I understand all too well. Worry about whether you are doing the right thing for you, because you aren’t reaching him. And that is not your fault so stop trying. Hugs.

Yes, alone and enjoying the peace and quiet. I already delivered the gifts so now I'm going to spend the rest of the holiday drinking eggnog rum and listening to Christmas music. Of course checking in with FR off and on..

I hate it when someone bumps an old thread to see all the ones that arent here anymore. I think they might be back once Cruz takes the nomination away from the establishment. From your fingertips to God's ear!

...”Id always heard what other families can come to over money but never ever thought it would happen to mine.”....
I’ve seen enough of this with my family and others as well...So I’ve put names under all my furniture and belongs....and they all know who gets what. Now.
Anything else is in the will....
I have learned too that when the mother or father depart whatever your relationship with each family member will esculate...if good then it’ll get even better...if bad...you likely won’t see them much after if that.
Billy Graham gave a sermon on this once and he was spot on!

Yup. I'm earning back my right (time and money) to be a musician by driving bananas over the mountains.
Here's something I sequenced for a post many years ago. Oh Holy Night

...”Me, Im happy with whats mine that I earned and dont want anything I didnt earn, so Im at peace and tomorrow Im going up-lake (our huge lake is dried up), admire Gods work with our planet, Holly berries on white branches, winter greens that sprout up, foxes and coyotes, get away from these awful humans.”....
That’s exactlly right...and how I see it...Sounds too like your lake trip will be perfect!
I don’t understand people who think they can’t just get away for a moment when things get unnerving....just go...who says you have to abide by others expectations...do what you have to to find a moment aside and do whatever .
Heck I even grocery shop at midnight sometimes..it’s a blast!

The only thing you wasted was time.
And, about $20K.

After marrying, I would have moved to a different part of the country rather than near the in-laws.
The dynamics are a bit different in your case and it sounds like you’re taking the right steps. I wish you the best...
