Of course, this is the same FDA that wants to ease the restrictions on homosexuals donating blood.

Don’t worry about it. Under ObamaCare, your posting and voting record will prevent you from receiving blood anyway.

Thank God! I was hoping they would regulate sprinkles! Eating them is as dangerous as walking into a moving airplane propeller!

In India they use extremely thin shiny yellow paper made of pure gold to decorate sweets. Good thing there is no US-FDA and US-EPA in India.

This is the first time in years that I agree with the FDA.

I DETEST sprinkles on donuts.

This is all that the -—holes down at the FDA have to do? Maybe it’s time for some cutbacks.

We didn’t have any donuts when I was young. At Christmas time, Mom would give us a bowl of dirt with sprinkles on it. Those sprinkles are a happy Christmas memory for me, and now, the government wants to take those memories, and sprinkles, away. The filthy grinches. At least we still have the tradition of going hunting for Spotted Owls on Christmas Eve.

Even a small amount of joy is suspect in the FDA’s brave, new, food-monitored world.

I agree with the underlying science - we need to eliminate refined sugar, grains, processed foods, trans-fats and vegetable oils from our diet.

But not by regulation. Let's eliminate all the Alphabet bureaucracies that are making laws - FDA, EPA, OSHA, HIPPA, DOE, DOE, etc

If there is any common food product that everyone you know should avoid like the plague, it is sucralose (brand name Splenda). It is produced by Johnson & Johnson, and is the dominant artificial sweetener being used today.

The reason is that it is incredibly toxic to your healthy intestinal bacteria, but not for a bacteria strongly associated with morbid obesity, called enterobacter. In morbidly obese people, enterobacteria occupy almost 1/3rd of the space normally occupied by 30-40 different kinds of digestive bacteria.

(NIH data)

“After just 12 weeks of normal consumption of sucralose, the numbers of total anaerobes, bifidobacteria, lactobacilli, Bacteroides, clostridia, and total aerobic bacteria were significantly decreased; however, there was no significant treatment effect on enterobacteria.

“Also important was that 12 weeks after completely discontinuing sucralose, the healthy intestinal flora had still not recovered, indicating that effort must be made to ‘repair’ a healthy balance.

“Evidence indicates that a 12-wk administration of Splenda exerted numerous adverse effects, including (1) reduction in beneficial fecal microflora, (2) increased fecal pH, and (3) enhanced expression levels of (chemicals), which are known to limit the bioavailability of orally administered drugs.”

Who is in charge here? We the people or the government?

Sprinkles are too far

They make the world a livable place for kids who have to sit around being polite and eating what they’re told to eat.

Where are the moms on this? Which one hasn’t used sprinkles to make spinach better or to buy just ten more minutes in an adult conversation

And this headline on Christmas Eve!!

I’m kidding. But not at all

More people will get upset by eliminating sprinkles than they will Amnesty.

My kids love sprinkles.

How they react, impacts my sanity.
