MIAMI TWP., Ohio -- Police say a shopper with a conceal-carry license killed a teenager outside of the Dayton Mall Saturday in an act of self defense.
Jawad Jabbar, 16, of Middletown and two other juveniles attempted to rob two men at gunpoint outside the mall around 10 a.m., the Miami Twp. police department told WCPO news partner, WHIO-TV in Dayton.
One of the men produced a firearm and shot Jabbar after the three Middletown teens demanded the adults hand over merchandise. Jabbar died a short time later.

Typical reporting, something has been purposely left out. Here is what is being reported.

Uh huh, sure, there is more here than is being reported. The reporter is purposely trying to mislead. But what would you expect today?

Sad. He was a good kid who just got in with the wrong crowd. He was turning his life around. He was planning on going to school one day and was an aspiring rapper.

Let’s stop calling these vicious, rotten-to-the-core thugs “teens.” The word “teen” connotes a temporarily goofy and rebellious, but basically well-meaning, young person who is likely to outgrow his goofiness when he gets out into the real world.
Let’s just say all the local newspaper and television stories have a noticeable lack of photographs of everyone involved in this shooting.
The attempted theft was over a specific limited edition athletic shoe.

I think I am very glad that my parents are going to be overseas for the next few months.
The shooter must have forgotten to “check his privilege”.
