Yes, we know the 2008 presidential election is years in the past and will not come around again. The question is, does Sen. Ted Cruz know this?
The question arises because the junior senator from Texas, in hot pursuit of the presidency, has chosen a trail blazed by Barack Obama six years ago. Obama was in the midst of his first Senate term when he barged into a field that featured Hillary Clinton, then a second-term senator from New York, and several other seasoned veterans of national politics. The word was audacity, and it was right there in the title of Obama's book.
When the upstart from Illinois emerged the Democratic nominee that summer and the winner in November, many foresaw a wave of emulation. We now have Cruz, the constitutional crusader, generating White House buzz in just his second year in office, just as Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts does ditto on the left. And that's not to mention old-timers like Rand Paul and Marco Rubio, running hard for national notice as they finish their fourth year in the Senate.

I was studying on Cruz and found this article.
Consider the source.
National Review, attempting to paint Ted Cruz with the 0bama brush.
To what depths won’t they stoop?
The difference between Ted Cruz in 2016 and Barack Obama in 2008 is that nobody had ever heard of Barack Obama in 2008, and so he had to build his base.
Ted Cruz, on the other hand, already has a very large and loyal base who will do anything it takes to see him in the White House.
Another difference is that Ted Cruz is MUCH smarter and more articulate than Barack Obama.
Barack Obama had been groomed for the White House by others for years at that point. His audiobook won his first Grammy for spoken word album (nearly ALWAYS liberal works exclusively up for the award). He’d been praised for his 2004 DNC convention speech.
Ted Cruz did not have the support of the GOPe in Texas politics, let alone in national politics.
Go, Ted, GO!! Kiss the RINOs and make them cry.
I understand, but he does seem like he wants to run and a lot of others do too. I have to be honest, I don’t really know much about him. So, I’m looking at why I should vote for him.
That would be National Public Radio, but same essential difference...
Look again...it's NPR, not National Review.
NPR, National Review .... it’s getting hard to tell the difference.
;-)
Use the keyword “tedcruz” here in search and read to your heart’s content.
Cruz will have served an actual full term by 2016 plus he’s held statewide elective office.
Lol, A lot of that going around. It is getting hard to tell the difference between mcConnell and reid, boehner and peloser too.
And he didn't have to release his opponent's divorce proceedings to do so.
But yeah, how dare Cruz do what King Barry did! (rolling eyes)
Just take Jim Robinson's word for it...Ted is THE man for the job!
Cruz is a Senator from Texas, he's fighting for the restoration of our Constitutional Free Republic, he is also a most hated thorn in the side of every progressive democrat communist rino in our current government.
Research is easy on Cruz, just consider the source.
