WASHINGTON — Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel is stepping down under pressure, the first cabinet-level casualty of the collapse of President Obama’s Democratic majority in the Senate and a beleaguered national security team that has struggled to stay ahead of an onslaught of global crises.
The president, who is expected to announce Mr. Hagel’s resignation in a Rose Garden appearance on Monday, made the decision to ask his defense secretary — the sole Republican on his national security team — to step down last Friday after a series of meetings over the past two weeks, senior administration officials said.

I hope he’s not going anywhere. No because he is any good, or because the next one will be worse, but because the Senate must refuse to confirm all 0bama nominee confirmations until he reverses his illegal executive actions.
Apparently Chuck & Valerie mixed it up in a high-profile display recently.
I hope Chuck got the last word with ‘Article 25’.

I think the biggest strike that the ZERO TEAM would have against Hagel, is that they can blame him for getting us back in to Iraq and Afghanistan now... It seemed like he was trying to step up the military to border on having competent strategies.... and that probably pissed off VJ or someone, IMHO.
Watch him nominate Flounoy, hoping it’ll draw heavy opposition from the right. That’ll keep the phony war on women narrative alive.
Never a big fan of a Hagel, but he was fired for actually wanting to defeat ISIS. You can bet the bank on his replacement being a liberal, unqualified woman or black. Mark it down. By the way, Dear Leader has fired all senior generals and now the Sec of Defense.

Like the replacement will be any better. The TinC, Traitor in Chief, will report someone just as disastrous for our national security.
Oh they do care. Hagel was hired because of his incompetence. (Oh, and his hatred for Israel, too.)
For what they are looking for, Cynthia McKinney would be the perfect fit. She’s incompetent AND she hates J-O-O-S.

I heard Obama will nominate Bill Ayers as Sec Def. Don’t know if thats true ... but it fits this administration.
I hope the Hagel story does not interfere with tv coverage of the riots in Ferguson..looking forward to them
