So much attention has been paid to the matter of whether or not detainees at Guantanamo Bay should be released and allowed to return to their home countries, but little has been paid to American warfighters wrongly convicted in the military justice system. Wrongly-convicted Americans deserve at least as much attention as GITMO detainees, dont they? EXAMPLE: Two years ago this week, the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces denied former Army Green Beret Sgt. 1st Class Kelly A. Stewarts appeal of the wrongful conviction and eight-year prison sentence handed down by a court-martial panel in Germany almost 39 months earlier. Keep reading!

The fact that Kelly was not able to provide information during the trial to defend himself against the charge of rape and kidnapping is just unreal.
I know Kelly's heart and the only way readers here can get close to knowing Kelly's heart need to take the time to read the letters written by those who know and served with him.
Keep me on your ping list please. Thanks for what you do.
I don’t see how donations can help at this point. We need negative press beating back on the a**holes who seem bound & determined to hound this poor soldier to death. I would go to Col. West & enlist his assistance, and any other military man with a name who’d be willing to help.
I AM IN!!! We need media attention on this. Our media. Start messaging this in social media. Get it to our radio hosts. F FOX Gnus. They are in the tank.
Levin comes to mind.
Dana does too, just a smaller footprint.
The reason I asked folks to join me and my friends by making a donation if they can is that I know Kelly needs help. His parents are helping all they can so we also help any way we can. I know how even small donations can help as when just 10 folks give $10 it is good help.

Thanks for any help you might be able to give! I do think Mark Levin would take an interest in Kelly’s case, but getting the information to Levin isn’t easy. I know Dana will certainly take an interest as she is always up front in her support of our Military.
Convicted with no evidence against him. Exculpatory evidence ignored. Im glad I retired when I did, before our military fell so far.
She worked tirelessly on securing release for Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi from a Mexican jail, her contribution here would be invaluable.

Not until the media are in the hands of patriots.

John McCain, Jeff Sessions, Saxby Chamblis, Roger Wicker, Kelly Ayotte, Deb Fischer, Lindsay Graham, David Vitter, Roy Blunt, Mike Lee & Ted Cruz on the Republican side. Every one should be contacted & asked to intercede & perhaps have hearings on what’s going on that could permit this travesty to happen. They are most likely to listen to their own constituents. None of mine are on this particular committee.

I’m sure there are many cases that need to be addressed. We should all be demanding that there be a review of the military justice system to stop these travesties from occurring.
Thanks for the ping, STT.
Kelly made a mistake, but he deserves better than what he received.
May God protect our active duty personnel and thank you to all veterans for your service!

Thanks to Bob McCarty for sending his recent article regarding SFC Soldier Kelly Stewart, which is below.

Please consider making a donation and please forward this to all your lists. I have had the honor of meeting SFC Soldier Kelly Stewart and his father, who is a retired Veteran of Special Forces. The conviction of this Green Beret is based on a lying accuser whose friends, in post trial testimony, gave witness and testimony that she lied! The jury was NOT a jury of Stewart's peers at all, but consisted of jury members who had just come off a deployment with the Prosecutor!
Please help us fight for this Soldier. SFC Kelly Stewart served over 12 years in the most dangerous areas of the world to keep us all safe. Now he needs our help and our support! Please call your Congressmen and Senators and if you live in Florida or Virginia, please call these two Congressmen (below) and ask them to intervene and help Kelly and his father get new eyes on this wrongful conviction.
Virginia Congressman Robert Hurt (202) 225-4711
Florida Congressman Richard Nugent (202) 225-1002.
Thank You and again, PLEASE forward to all your lists! What happened to SFC Soldier Kelly Stewart is just plain wrong!

Thanks for keeping up with this. Nasty double standard.
On a more positive note: Have a good Thanksgiving.
Thank you so much. A Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours too! I wish the same to Freepers, everywhere!
I am so very thankful that I can be with my sweet husband tomorrow on Thanksgiving Day, even though we now live close but not together. He suffers from dementia and I thank God every day that I am able to visit with him every day. Even during the very hard times in our lives, there is always something to be very thankful for.
Bump!
