Happy Election Day everyone! I figured I'd go ahead and get the election day thread started. Polls open on the east coast in a little less than an hour.
Please be sure to post observations of interest if you went to the polls today.
“Below are the ballot returns for Jefferson and Arapahoe Counties two of the most watched counties in the country.”
Why is that?
Voted in my Republican-leaning district in Maryland. Election judge said turnout was strong so far. I went mid-morning. Every voting machine had someone voting. Pretty good for the post-early morning and pre-lunch crowd.
My voting machine actually registered my Republican votes, not changing them to POS (Party of Satan) votes.
But I live in a village with only a couple of thousand voters. One row of one cemetery in Baltimore city will produce more POS votes than my entire village. *sigh*
Nonetheless, go Larry, go!

Today marks my 11th year on FR!
Heavy turnout here in S. Mecklenburg county, NC. Good news, heavy Republican area.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY Newbie!!!!
;)
The area of Cobb I live in is not as solidly conservative as is the rest of the County. I am right up against the Marietta city limits, and they love to elect democrats there.
Just voted in moderately Republican southern Ill. county. Raining and cold. Only one other voter there at 9:45 (older couple).
Hotly contested Gov race here in deep BLUE Illinois.
Hopefully the weather is like this or worse in Chicago.
Rep. Tim Murphy IS a conservative...not a firey Trey Gowdy...but NOT a RINO.
I feel your pain...and will “share” the suffering of a Gov. Wolf (shudders).
“Hopefully the weather is like this or worse in Chicago.”
Weather.com says 0% chance of rain in Chicago through the evening.
my state has early voting and strict (very strict) voter ID laws - one woman even makes her husband of 50 years show his ID. The only issue is on one 2 of the reservations and that has us worried. We voted early because we knew we would be on the road.
Anyone heard what Rush has to say. You can usually tell by his demeanor how things are shaping up.
We need every last vote for Annette Teijeiro here in Las Vegas for congress. Dr. Annette would take the fight to Reid and his cronies.

My area of south Cobb is also not solidly conservative. It is close to the Fulton County line and many Dem areas. The way the district lines are drawn puts me in David Scott’s (D) district, and he wins easily every time.
They are swingers, and bell-weather counties
Where did you find that info?
Voted in South Jersey at 10:30AM. No line and I was number 90.
I’m hopeful! :)
I’d like to keep Scott Walker for his whole term, but if it’s best for America, I could let him go. Love My Gov! :)

Q. ARE YOU PRO-LIFE?
A. I am pro-life, and believe we should foster a culture that respects human life. This means that as a civil society, we must respect and protect the most vulnerable among us, including the unborn, the sick, those with disabilities, and the elderly.
I would oppose taxpayer funding of abortion, and believe it was a mistake to abandon the explicit prohibition in federal law against it, as Mark Warner voted to do with Obamacare.
I understand that women facing an unplanned pregnancy need compassion and support, not judgment or condemnation. I support education and health care to help women avoid unplanned pregnancies, and believe we must offer life-affirming alternatives to women facing difficult decisions, ensuring that they have the opportunity to choose life. I support adoption and believe that government should help both women and children by making it easier, more affordable, and more accessible for both newborns and those in foster care.
