Happy Election Day everyone! I figured I'd go ahead and get the election day thread started. Polls open on the east coast in a little less than an hour.
Please be sure to post observations of interest if you went to the polls today.
Holder’s on the job stopping voter fraud... right? /s
Watch pinellas county for FL. Obama won in 2012 and Sink won in 2010 by about 5-6%. County keeps running total how many D/R/I have voted. Right now about 11,000 more than D have voted. About 270,000 votes total so far.We started day ahead by 6800 and have stretched that to 11,000. We will see what indies do. Could be bellwbellwether for Scott/Crist.
I’m actually warming to the idea of showing. Believe it or not. Mostly because their is a referendum I want to vote against.
Does anyone have any info on the pro life views of Warner and Gillespie? Anything particularly noteworthy?
11,000 more R than D voted.
I have not read through this thread, but I have bad news from the Philadelphia suburbs. Turnout was very heavy. We waited until 10::30 to go to the polls, but we had to stand in line. Not a good sign in my rich, liberal leaning district. I had hopes that the Wolf crowd wouldn’t show up, but judging by the fancy cars in the parking lot, all the limousine libs showed up.
[ Thanks for helping us flush out the hickapoop! ]
It was a pleasure to vote today knowing that one more vote against the “Looper”
THE CT MIRROR: With Democrats defending five open seats, Republicans have a chance to capture control of the Connecticut Senate tonight for the first time since 1994, when John G. Rowland won his first term as governor and the GOP captured a 19-17 majority.
I proudly cast my vote for Mia Love and all the others that single dot on the first page of the ballot represents ... last Tuesday at 6AM.
There was no line at the postal drop box.
Anybody got a take on the FL governor’s race? I heard on Glen Beck they were saying that Crist is up slightly in polling. I cannot believe that state would elect him...makes me nauseous to think he’d win. Has Scott been that bad for the state? An inquiring mind would like to know.
Can you imagine if a dem voter had done that? It might have counted for the evil right! I sure hope they don’t vote on a Republican day. I don’t want them disenfranchised.
I can’t say that didn’t happen. It was really dark.
Gillespie has run ads touting his pro-life views. Warner avoids the subject.
Was in Milwaukee over the weekend and lots of Walker signs. I’m here just north of the Dells. Small town, about 1000. My husband and I were 35 and 36 at 7:30am. Lets send this message loud and clear!!
Well what can you do. Just as long as they know that today is the day Republicans vote.
Just voted, and FWIW, my Florida precinct is 70% republican and it was busy today like a presidential year. A neighbor working the location said it had been jamming all day. Hope that bodes well for our side. Rick Scott is going to need a big “R” turnout.
I guess stupid still abounds in some places.
Fingers tossed...that Corbett pulls this out. If not, we are South New York. I truly HATE Philadelphia, and you are right about the Burgh. Too many Shaleionaires...too many 6 figure salaries dependent upon gas industry to toe the Dem line and vote for the job destroying Greenie Wolf.
We can DEFUND Amnesty in a lame duck Congress, can’t we??
