Some people have a name that just doesn't play well in politics. I'd suggest "Coakley" is one of them.
If she would just change her name to something like Smith -- or Shabazz (LOL) -- she might win one of these years.

As of this post time:
Senate: Republicans have locked up 52 seats, ahead in 1 more
Senate: Democrats have locked up 43 seats, ahead in 1 more
House: Republicans have locked up 226 seats, ahead in 16 more
House: Democrats have locked up 141 seats, ahead in 44 more
Governors: Republicans have locked up 26 seats, ahead in 7 more
Governors: Democrats have locked up 13 seats, ahead in 2 more
Okay, so with McCain and his Senate Spouse Graham, we break even at this point.
Note that only 95 Senate seats are being addressed here. Hawaii and Alaska are not on the grid yet, and one seat must be a dead heat.
We may get more than 53 by the end of the night.
I would like to invite folks to use the Los Angeles Times Senate, House, and Nationwide State Gubantorial candidate breakdowns. It's a fairly good indicator of where things are headed.
Note: Make sure ALL is selected. Then you can click on Senate, House, or Governors
These categories show current wins and gains. (Ex: Republican = 44 +4 / Democrats = 38 +2) Note: + denotes leading in that many races in addition to already locked up

I hate to be a buzz killer (after all, I am in Minnesota where the GOP isn’t doing too well tonight) but Alan Grayson, the nut job Dem member of Congress from the Orlando area, has won re-election.
Yuckl!

... Alan Grayson, the nut job Dem member of Congress from the Orlando area, has won re-election. That's a contender for the second-best news of the night, dude. That lunatic is the gift that keeps on giving.

Blue Dogs are probably all gone: Barrow, Rahall done. McIntyre in NC 7 and Matheson in UT did not run again.
I don’t know of any more. Several dozen of them got wiped out in 2010.

Well thank you - but I think that honor goes to this picture:
May this be the start of the turnaround this great nation so desperately needs. Tonight, America has spoken.

Ok, right away she needs a coach. She laughs when she is nervous instead of taking a pause. Needs to be fixed ASAP
