A recently fired electrician high on methamphetamine was believed to be set on harming people during a bizarre attack that started in Henderson, Nevada, and stretched into neighboring Boulder City. According to the mans wife, when he was unable to purchase a firearm, he simply chose another, more easily accessible weapon a hammer.

If only the Governor had signed in to law that intergalactic backgound check law after it was passed in the NV legislature last session this would never have happened. Oh, the old BGC system worked? Well we need to put an initiative on the '16 ballot to make sure it works even better. Might need to ad a "hammer" clause to it though.

We need to ban hammers.
After all, they kill.

This jerk probably saw the commercial where the ‘’senior citizen’’ is slamming candy with a hammer thinking it was sugar crush game.

A drug-addicted felon wants to kill.
He can’t get a gun, so he grabs the next best thing.
Which illustrates aptly the absurdity of gun control laws - if someone is bent on breaking the law, no law will stop him.
Liberals always insist the solution is a better law.

It is far more ominous than that. What these people are working towards is a government sanctioned means to take you off the streets based on someone else’s ‘feeling’, ‘charges’ or ‘thoughts’ about YOUR ‘beliefs’, ‘thoughts’, ‘ideas’ or just plain demeanor.
Take you off the streets and jail you. Evaluate you and reeducate you if they can do it cheaply, imprison and/or just disappear you if not.
“Witch!” of the Salem Witch Trials, “Juden!” of prewar Germany. It is amazing how vile Democrats and liberals would be if left unchecked.

"hammers must be registered. Background checks now."

If I had a hammer,
I’d hammer in the morning,
I’d hammer in the evening,
All over this land,
I’d hammer out danger,
I’d hammer out a warning,
I’d hammer out love between,
My brothers and my sisters,
All over this land...

Corollary; a "better law" thought up by them (since they are the smartest people in the room, donchyano).

Yes, new laws are always the foremost solution for a liberal,
and it’s entirely consistent with their worldview.
Humans act bad because their environment is bad.
Humans will act good when their environment is good.
So, the solution is to have enough power to make a perfect environment.
