A nurse who recently returned from West Africa and was quarantined for the past three days in a tent behind a New Jersey hospital despite having no symptoms associated with Ebola will be allowed to return home to serve out the rest of her mandatory quarantine.
Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey, in a brief interview, said that he expected her to be transferred Monday morning after doctors and federal officials signed off on the plan.
The treatment of the nurse, Kaci Hickox, has drawn withering criticism from both public health officials and the nurse herself. Ms. Hickox lives in Fort Kent, Me.
Im hopeful that this morning if all goes well well be able to release her and send her back to Maine, Mr. Christie said.
Ms. Hickox called her treatment inhumane and castigated Governor Christie for saying she was obviously ill when she displayed no symptoms of Ebola.
It appears that theyre intending to release her but I have not yet been able to confirm it, said Steven Hyman, a lawyer representing Ms. Hickox. Im waiting to hear back from the attorney general.

In the end....it's all political and about money.
Give it a week and the quarantines will all be discontinued.
Christie buckles ...
She didnt want to be there. She made that clear from the beginning, Mr. Christie said.
Its always been about her condition. And if her condition permits release, then we will work with the state officials in Maine to make sure she could go home, he said. Our preference always is to quarantine people in their homes.
The most dangerous aspect of ebola outside the pResidentis the medical establishment.
If they think that this will shut her up, they are mistaken. She’s a true hero in her own mind and I predict will break her own quarantine to go out for pizza or soup or something.
Obola penetrates states trying to defend citizens. Never let a containment go to waste.
As Chris Plante said, she is going straight to a MSNBC telecast.
What are you going to do next?"
"I'm going to Disneyland!"
It seems to me that ebola is fixing to sprout political wings.
It is about me and what I want all the time. ME ME ME
TBH, I am kind of glad my wife and I decided to stay away from inner city areas, airports, and trains. Events such as this one confirm the caution.
And she will still sue New Jersey! This doesn’t do anything but make Christie look like a bigger fool than he is - if that’s possible.
Hope her Maine neighbors are happy.
The woman throws a bitch fit and they cave. Fools, all of them.
And we can’t sue Obama for trying to kill us?
If you cry and scream and throw a tantrum the rules won’t apply to you
Someone who such a weak “president” can browbeat is someone who needs to stay out of the 2016 race.
