In France, where the problem is worse, the “far right” runs soup kitchens, featuring pork soup. Of course the double effect of making the soup unkosher as well as unhalal has gotten the groups doing this tarred as “Nazis”, even though it is intended as a defense of French culture against Islam.

One of the conservative talk radio stations I listen to runs several different ‘food bank’ PSAs. Depending on which, they list the number of children going hungry ranges between 13 and 17 million.
I wonder how that can be with the relative ease at which families, especially with kids, can get EBT cards.
Additionally, I wonder whether the cause for the number of kids going hungry are directly related to Michelle Obama’s restrictions on school lunches.
