Obama voters are having a case of buyers remorse, according to a new USA Today/Suffolk University poll in six states with key Senate races this November.
The number of likely voters who can remember voting for President Obama has turned out to be lower than the actual number that did, USA Today reports. And of those who confessed to helping reelect the president in 2012, one in seven said they now regret their decision.
Of the six states in the polling, only Kansas featured as many likely voters who remembered voting Obama as those who actually did (at 38 percent apiece.)
In the other states, it broke down in the following manner.
Arkansas had 37 percent Obama voters during the 2012 election, but now only 35 percent actually admit to it. Colorados percentage point drop was even steeper, from 51 percent in 2012 to 46 percent today. Iowa matched this with a drop of 52 percent to 47 percent.
Michigan fell the most, going from 54 percent to 48 percent, and North Carolina dropped from 48 percent to 43 percent.
USA Today didnt stop there. Of the individuals who admitted to voting for Obama but now regret it, they shared the following responses.
Lois Rice, 61, Colorado: I voted for Obama, but quite frankly Ive been disappointed with his handling of the ISIS (Islamic State) issue and just some general economic issues.
Kristopher Lane, 21, Iowa: Im kind of upset that I did vote for him I was kind of pushed towards voting for him by someone I know. Lane also expressed concern that the Affordable Care Act (ACA), President Obamas signature domestic policy achievement, has turned out worse than promised.
Charles Franklin of Marquette University Law School attempted to explain the results.
Voters who defect from their party to vote for the winner are more likely to forget this over time and to report a vote more consistent with their current party identification. Reports of past vote also correlate with current preferences.
Clarence Page of the Chicago Tribune added that Obama voters may just be tired of seeing the President after six years.
After six years in office, any president has been seen and heard too many times to satisfy the publics relentless appetite for something fresh and new, Page wrote.
What do you think, readers? First of all, if you were one of the Obama voters who ushered him into a second term, have you/do you regret your decision? And are these poll numbers a bad sign for Democrats in the battleground states next month?

Two time obama voters ought to have their franchise revoked. If you make that massive of a mistake twice, you can’t be trusted any longer.
So, not only are the stupid, but Obama voters are liars as well.
Got it.
They’re only disappointed because Bush and Cheney aren’t in prison, they didn’t get enough free stuff, we still have a military, Israel is still around....
Agreed. I’m also tired of reading stories about “buyers remorse”. It’s too freaking late!!!!! You can not take it back!!!! AND...these idiots would vote Obama again in 2016 if they could and quite frankly, it’s possible they’ll be given the opportunity!!
You beat me to it. Exactly!!!!
Soon to come, the largest case of mass amnesia in American history.
And he hasn’t even begun to unleash his fury on the U.S. Wait until after this election.
The moral of this story........When you vote color or guilt you get sh##
Barack Hussein Obama (or whatever his name is), the 44th president of the United States of America, is a radical Muslim jihadi who is pursuing jihad through his executive power.
>> The number of likely voters who can remember voting for President Obama has turned out to be lower than the actual number that did
The actual number of votes exceeds those who “remember voting” for him? Well golly! Surprise Surprise Surprise.
CRY ME A RIVER....
If they voted for him in 2008 they deserve ridicule
If they voted for him in 2012 they deserve contempt
“Its too freaking late!!!!! “
Yep.
They’ll probably make amends by voting for Hillary.
It’s just their low IQ. The need to be coached just prior to voting and given some palm money to make it a worthwhile slam dunk vote.
Usually, when someone has remorse about something they did, or committed a crime, 99 out of 100 times you’re going to hear, “I don’t remember”. That’s total Barbara Streisand, okay. Of course, you’re lying. So you voted for this A-HOLE TWICE and now you say you don’t remember whatever the EFF you forgot you did. So not only are you a moron, infinitely stupid and gullible, you don’t even have the courage, the guts to admit what a dumb-@ss you are. So you are a moronic, dumb-@ss without the slightest modicum of integrity, decency. But we already knew that. And the reason you don’t want to remember is because they cut $7.95 out of your EBT allowance. So, for $7.95 a month you can’t remember voting. FU.
