Projection is a powerful phenomenon, and the American people have been subject to a perfectly cynical display of psychological projection from Democrats this week as the increasing likelihood that the party in power is going to endure a stinging censure from the voters on November 4.
Democrats have spent the better part of the week insisting that Republicans who have urged the president to take stronger measures to contain Ebola in the United States, which he did on Friday with the creation of a federal Ebola response coordinator, are stoking unwarranted fears among the public. At the same time, liberals do not see a contradiction in their behavior when they make the dubious claim that the only reason why there is an Ebola threat to America today is because of Republicans and their pathological attachment to budget cuts.
Last weekend, as the left franticly scrambled for a way to shield the president from criticism after Ebola broke out in the United States despite the assurances of federal authorities that such an eventuality was unlikely, liberals began to ring their favorite bell about reduced federal spending being responsible for this crisis, as well as all other human ills. An authoritative voice joined the chorus last Sunday when National Institutes of Health Director Dr. Francis Collins told The Huffington Posts Sam Stein that the world would have cured Ebola today but for cuts to his agencys budget.
Collins did not assign blame to one political party or the other, but the message had been perfectly received by partisan operatives on the left. Gee, thanks Republicans, Democratic strategist Paul Begala barked in reaction to the article. He was merely the vanguard of a pageant of liberal critics who emerged certain that this deadly hemorrhagic fever ravaging West Africa and now spreading across the globe was essentially a Republican plot.
Collins quote to Stein coincided coincidentally with the release of a ham-handed 60-second web ad from a progressive organization which directly blamed Republicans for the spread of Ebola.
On many levels, this line of attack is absurd, The Washington Post fact checker Glenn Kessler sighed.
I may not be a conspiracy nut, but I have no doubt there are those who view the Ebola threat as a means to trim the human "disease" on this planet. These are people with self-absorbed lives who believe the pathway to Utopia is where humans will infect Mother Earth with the least amount of impact. These are self-centered people who will use government to minimize the impact of other people and see population control as the way to do it. To them abortion is good and the minimal population is the ideal. That is why I call them the Culture of Death.
This contained outbreak is what got Congress to fund a special unit precisely to study ebola and other contagions and come up with vaccines and appropriate treatment and knowledge. This was the same unit that Dr. Nicole ( I forget her last name) was in charge of who was siphoning money to outfits like Solyndra, thereby NOT making sure that ebola would not be a problem for us.
AIDS caught us unprepared. The money and the unit Congress prepared was supposed to head off this ebola problem.
Obama is derelict in his duty and he is leading from behind. If America was a business Obama would have been ash-canned within the first six months of his presidency.
Hey Obama, be a MAN - Implement a travel BAN!!
It wasn't the same strain. Ebola Reston doesn't cause illness in people.
If facts mattered to Democrats, they wouldn’t have spouted this nonsense in the first place
Wow!...........calling someone a Democrat is bad enough but you have artfully surpassed being called a “demonrat”................to be called a “holderite” is NOW the new plateau of name calling directed towards the left..............!!!
As far as I know most conservatives and conservative publications are observing the concerns in the ghetto and agreeing that everything Obama and the CDC say can't be trusted.
Oh, and advocating for a West Africa Travel Ban.
holdering: holderites doing what they do best, rioting, looting and terrorizing whites...
“On many levels, this line of attack is absurd, The Washington Post fact checker Glenn Kessler sighed.”
It might be absurd, but tie idiot American voters will probably believe it ... just like they did with the War on Women.
Like NPR Democrats are "bringing the world home to you."

Cant imagine that the Republicans have the gonads necessary, but perhaps Congress does meet before the election, gives some extra funding, and then BANS FLIGHTS FROM Ebola Countries.
...just wishful thinking, Im sure, even as more cases pile up.
Friday header ping.
Retribution.A word not spoken much these days.
Democrats are the lowest form of life.
Bump
We both call them that. They are evil.
Anything to win an election. They will next sacrifice a chicken and two goats at the alter of Baal in hopes of controlling the entire congress.
