The city of Houston has issued subpoenas demanding a group of pastors turn over any sermons dealing with homosexuality, gender identity or Annise Parker, the citys first openly lesbian mayor. And those ministers who fail to comply could be held in contempt of court.
The citys subpoena of sermons and other pastoral communications is both needless and unprecedented, Alliance Defending Freedom attorney Christina Holcomb said in a statement. The city council and its attorneys are engaging in an inquisition designed to stifle any critique of its actions.
ADF, a nationally-known law firm specializing in religious liberty cases, is representing five Houston pastors. They filed a motion in Harris County court to stop the subpoenas arguing they are overbroad, unduly burdensome, harassing, and vexatious.

I doubt the cameras would be rolling; the media would be uninterested in such unconstitutional conduct. Nor would many in TX be interested either, I suspect.
They’re testing the waters. If they can claim these sermons are “political” they can take away their tax exempt status. That will put the fear of GOV in the rest of the preachers. Too bad they’ll fear GOV more than GOD.

Communism. Plain & simple.
Make the sermons available by paid subscription. If she wants to read them, then she can pay for them.
The justification is “hate speech”.

This is DAMM correct that this is what the LGBTP is all about!
“...Even in the United States, he recently wrote that there is great opposition to the church of Jesus Christ. We see this throughout the media, the entertainment industry, government, and politics. All of this is just signs of the times, according to Graham...”
Make them available to those who tithe.
Consistently.
For a year.
Just refuse, and tell the mayor to GFherself.
Sometimes, Pastors have to step up and lead. This is one of those time.
There’s no reason all of those Pastors couldn’t organize a few thousand people to show up at the mayor’s home and let her know exactly what they think of her.
