Stepping up efforts to stop the Ebola epidemic from spreading widely in the United States, federal authorities and officials in Chicago on Wednesday announced preventive measures that will include more intense health screening for airline passengers arriving at O'Hare International Airport from West African countries.
**SNIP**
When screening starts at O'Hare, federal personnel will staff a triage station in the international arrivals area and run passports of passengers coming from Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone to determine whether they've been in affected regions, Hasbrouck said. Passengers will fill out questionnaires and may be subject to fever detection, he said. Temperatures will be taken with a non-contact thermometer, federal officials said.

Just ask Duncan, oh wait, nevermind, he’s no longer available to comment.
IDK, but I would trust my ear thermometer which I have compared against my mouth, and armpit results for accuracy, sooner than a remote infrared scan.
of course its fair...
a black guy from West Africa with Ebola in a plane with lots of white American grannies and white high school boys..
Ebola Man using the toilet, touching the back of the seat, touching the door knobs, his luggage banging against you as he gets on and off the plane, etc
and then theres that walk around in bare feet or socks in the TSA area, and the gloves on the TSA agents hands as he or she handles him and his luggage and then you and your luggage..
Lots of chances to make it fair and spread the love errr disease around..
and if the workers at La Guardia don’t want to clean the plane why would you want to sit in it for hours breathing in the same air shared by Ebola Man..

Just lie our dead patient in Dallas, many people will lie.
"Have you traveled to Liberia, Sierra Leone, or Guinea?"
"No. You can even see my ticket is from Brussels (or Paris, or London)."
Most are making a connection anyways, and they will lie if the choice is between a lie and being turned back.
I think our government is no longer our government.
Have you heard of passports, which are generally marked when people enter or leave countries?
My experience was that when I entered France from Africa, my passport was stamped for France but not for the country I left. My experience was also that many countries stamped passports with an Arabic script that I would not expect customs officers to be able to read, and that the stamps do not go in order. I don’t know if that is still true, but it used to be true. It’s quite possible that our customs officers would not figure it out if a traveler lied about travel to Liberia, even one with a Liberian passport.
“Oh, I’ve been studying in Paris all year, and they stamped my passport when I came back to France from Italy.”
