Ditto !
Bravo !
He’s a do- gooder liberal that likes photo ops and a huge supporter of BO. The Mayor was with him during the escort to the gated mansion. Two liberal fools. Jenkins was really pushing for 2000 illegal kids with diseases to come to Dallas.
Well, they’re not ALL flying here because it’s beaucoup $$, but the key thing is anybody who thinks they’re infected, isn’t sick yet, who HAS the $$ is most definitely on their way.
Well they may be also testing for Malaria and other posibilites as well.....but I understood in Africa now they can test within the hour and know .
Interesting is patients in Africa don’t want to leave the clinics once they’re well...better living conditions then where they live. Three meals a day and they don’t have to prepare them!
....”a $190 MILLION grant to house illegal immigrant children”....
Why would you do that unless the purposeful flow of illegals is going to escalate to standard operations and just haul them in here.
Thanks for the information DW...
Told you and he had muscle aches and pain.Woke up with it this morning. Most of the systems.
Of course lethal tech has improved since the original. The fatality risk in meeting Little Barry is much higher than it was for those meeting Little Boy. And the target zone is much larger.
Dallas Sheriff:
“The state told us it was fine to go in without protective gear.”
Hi Fatima. Seems to me that people with compromised immune systems will be more likely to get sick than those with good immune systems. If this man only visited for 30 minutes and ends up having Ebola, maybe he has AIDS or some other disease.
idiots....even the uneducated non elite health care workers and grave diggers in West Africa don’t enter homes without protective gear.
Refuse.Call the CDC.Call the Fire department.Call Hazmat.This is a level 4 event.
As a fomer infectious disease nurse your assumption is simply incorrect.
First it is unlikely he has ebola. Second this virus is transmitted through infected body fluids, so basically it would come down to him being unlucky enough to having touched something that had infected fluids on it and then the virus either entering through broken skin or mucous membranes ( for example rubbing his eyes or nose, or say going to lunch after his apartment visit without washing his hands first)
All of this talk of space suits, expensive respirator masks, goggles etc is a bit misleading. First line of defense should always be proper hand washing something Americans stink at. Every time you come home from going out, every time you use the bathroom and always before you eat and prepare food. Use a good bacterial soap and scrub all surfaces of hands through two renditions of “happy birthday” Kills ebola and influenza too! Incidentally hand sanitizer does not kill viruses only makes it more difficult for them to “stick” to your skin.
Also interesting reading is the story of a senior nursing student in Liberia who single handedly treated successfully ( i.e. they lived) three out of four family members with ebola and never contracted it herself. Her secret.... meticulous infection control practices. She used trash bags, a cheap plastic rain coat and regular old cheap paper hospital masks... no fancy hazmat suits just excellent universal precautions. All the fancy outfits can’t protect you ( ask the spanish nurse) if you touch your nose or eyes with your (contaminated ) gloves.
“...theres an article from the NIH that indicates Melatonin may be effective in treating Ebola...”
A quick ‘net search didn’t uncover the dosage used. Do you know? Thanks.
Funny how the high-IQ, medically and scientifically trained, analytical type people are NOT the ones yelling “THE SKY IS FALLING; THIS IS OUT OF CONTROL; WE’RE ALL GOING TO DIE BEFORE NEW YEARS!!!”. They tend to be rationally concerned, however.
BTW, I have $750 of N95, N100, and P100 masks and respirators in the closet (for whatever), along with a storage unit full of other supplies and preps; your head-in-sand appellation looks foolish.
He could have stepped in the decrepit vomitus outside the apartment and then stopped to wipe his shoe.
Oh lord....
They’ve been regularly dealing with this kind of thing for over fifty years.
Considering that-even if they’re in third world nations-they could manage it better than we do. They seem to be far less resistant to quarantines and travel restrictions
