Republican Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert said that Lois Lerner will miss departing-Attorney General Eric Holders presence in the Department of Justice.
Holder, who announced his resignation as attorney general Thursday, has been overseeing a federal criminal investigation into the IRS scandal that has been accused of protecting the key Obama administration officials involved.
For many years now, I have been calling for Attorney General Holders resignation, Gohmert said in a statement. Not only has he lied before members of Congress and, ultimately, been held in contempt, he has obfuscated the truth and been the most partisan, partial, prejudiced, and self-pitying attorney general in my lifetime, including [Nixon Attorney General] John Mitchell who went to jail for his crime.
As a former judge who has questioned Holder numerous times before the House Judiciary Committee, it is frustrating to seek the truth and receive dishonesty and arrogance from the chief law enforcement officer of the United States government.
Gohmert went on to detail Holders abuses of power.
Additionally, he has prosecuted more people for leaking, which sometimes is an effort at whistle blowing, than all other attorneys general added together, Gohmert said. He has not only failed to investigate crimes and potential crimes occurring in this administration, he has been the cover-upper-in-chief and will be sorely missed by those in the administration like Lois Lerner who want to disobey the law and flaunt it. It is my sincere hope that the Obama administration will appoint an attorney general who is reputable and truly desiring to uphold law and order for all Americans not just cater to this administrations whims and ideology.
Gohmert and Holder got into a famous back-and-forth at a Capitol Hill hearing in April. You dont want to go there, buddy, Holder snapped at Gohmert, who questioned Holder about the fact that Holder is in contempt of Congress for failing to produce documents related to the Fast and Furious scandal.
As if Holder won’t be replaced by someone worse.
Apparently, a Judge does want to go there with Holder.
Maybe they could share a cell together.
evil in the world loves other evil
Holder needs to take a walk in Fort Macy Park before he leaves town. ;)
The GOP will roll over for someone no better.
Nooobody knows the trouble I’ve knoooown, noooobody knows my sorrowwww
Has anybody here... Seen my old friend Eric....
I just looked around...
and he was gowne.
I hope not, but the GOP really has nothing to say about it. It takes 51 votes in the Senate to confirm a candidate. The ball is in the Democrats’ court on this one.

Absolutely spot freaking-on
I see he captured his finer qualities rather succinctly.
Of course.
Felons love to hang out together.
Will miss him? What? She has a bad aim?
I saw his statement, and wondered if someone had posted it on FR... but I forgot to check.

Rep. Louie Gohmert (TX-01) released the following statement on the announcement that U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder would be stepping down from his position:
For many years now, I have been calling for Attorney General Holders resignation. I really wish this man was my Representative... and I really wish he would be in Tyler when I am... just so I can stop in really quickly at his office and thank him personally for looking after the best interests of ALL AMERICANS, even those that are not fortunate to live in the GREAT STATE of Texas.
Bump!!
If Holder can’t use the law to prevent prosecution to Obama’s sycophants and punish conservatives, he isn’t interested. His replacement will be a clone and act as a legal roadblock for Obama and his criminal empire.
