Tracey Kahn is a successful publicist. She is single, lives in a beautiful apartment in Manhattan, has a 2-year-old daughter, and is pregnant with again. She is 51.
"I feel great, and I'm so excited, and so is my family," Kahn says.

It’s all fun and games until one of the kids comes out with a birth defect.
or she lives to a ripe old age of 60 and leaves a 9 yo.
Men? We don’t need no steenking MEN!
Sad. Very, very sad.
And as someone who deals with, ‘The General Public’ on a daily basis, there is nothing WORSE than these overly-indulgent, ‘I’m the FIRST to EVER give birth!’ late-life Mommies with their demonic offspring in tow.
*Rolleyes*
She is single.
Whether she is 51 or 21. She is disadvantaging her kid.
Selfish old bag.
(Is disadvantaging even a word?)
Well, if both mother and child are healthy, and there will be enough money to raise the child, then great, because we don’t want to wind up like Japan, with a most people being retired and not working. This may be why Italy is allowing itself to absorb boatloads of North Africans.
Unmarried too. That already makes life rough for a child, but if the mother becomes ill, the children won’t have a father to lean on.
My neighbor growing up had a child at 56 (totally natural, no in vitro). It’s not something I would recommend doing on purpose but late in life surprises do happen occasionally.
Now, there's a word picture! Thanks for the chuckle.
She had in vitro done with sperm and egg donors, so this woman is a surrogate, and does not share genes with the kid. Pregnancy is extremely risky for a woman at that age and the massive hormone treatments she would have cause cancer-so this woman is still crazy, in my opinion...
Seems like more and more of this drivel shows up every day...
Someone like her writing about their life, that, given her circumstances, no one cares about....
Donors, plural?
She has a distinct “shouldn’t be allowed to have sharp objects” look to her.
Guilty!
Yes, I thought she she had a desperate look.
I support life and don't judge the motives of those who choose life. Often these children who were not planned are God's gift. It's up to the recipient of that gift to do the parenting right.
Most people who have naturally or adopt late-in-life children have very good planning if something should happen to the parents. Besides which, they often have more free time to spend parenting.
“I feel great, and I’m so excited, and so is my family,” Kahn says.
What family?
Both of her.
That describes most of the wealthy women and their entitled brats who used to have summer homes out here until the economy went to hell-no more summer people, terrible economy-but at least we don’t have to put up with the snooty richbitches and what you so aptly described as their demonic offspring anymore...
“Its all fun and games until one of the kids comes out with a birth defect.”
Just what I was about to say. One of the things I really admire about Megyn Kelly is how she seems to have her head screwed on right when it comes to procreation. She’s about 42 and she and her husband decided to turn off the baby faucet before they got into Sarah Palin territory and ended up having to decided what to do about a defective baby.
