Well, if both mother and child are healthy, and there will be enough money to raise the child, then great, because we don’t want to wind up like Japan, with a most people being retired and not working. This may be why Italy is allowing itself to absorb boatloads of North Africans.
I'm not sure that they're *allowing* it.I think it's more a case of "if the boats reach our waters we can either sink them or rescue the occupants".I've read in Australian papers that Australia has the same kind of problem with boats from Indonesia,another place that's seldom mistaken for Paradise (I've been there).

North Africans = Muslims. Many industrialized countries are experiencing negative population growth. Many governments are seeking to replace them with low-education, low-skilled laborers from turd world countries thinking that somehow they will be able to keep their culture when they are being overwhelmed by Muslims or Mexicans/Central Americans.

The 2 year-old is female. Girls need fathers, or they grow up with no idea of what a good man is, or what to accept as appropriate (or not) from the men in their lives.
This woman will probably have a queer friend masquerade as “uncle” and call it a male influence.
It’s my opinion that Italy has a low birthrate because back in the time of big families, the men were running around on their wives all the time. Now that women can support themselves, they don’t need to put up with that crap. A lot of hyper-macho countries have seen the same.
