The latest Gallup poll indicates that 14 percent of the people "moderately disapprove" of Barack Obama's performance as president and 39 percent "strongly disapprove."
Since Obama won two presidential elections, chances are that some of those who now "strongly disapprove" of what he has done voted to put him in office. We all make mistakes, but the real question is whether we learn from them.
With many people now acting as if it is time for "a woman" to become president, apparently they have learned absolutely nothing from the disastrous results of the irresponsible self-indulgence of choosing a President of the United States on the basis of demographic characteristics, instead of individual qualifications.
It would not matter to me if the next five presidents in a row were all women, if these happened to be the best individuals available at the time. But to say that we should now elect "a woman" president in 2016 is to say that we are willfully blind to the dangers of putting life and death decisions in the hands of someone chosen for symbolic reasons.
If we were to choose just "a woman" as our next president, would that mean that any criticism of that president would be considered to be a sign of being against women?
No public official should be considered to be above criticism and the higher up that official is, the more important it is to hold his or her feet to the fire when it comes to carrying out duties involving the life and death of individuals and the fate of the nation.
We have not yet had a Jewish president. If and when we do, does that mean that any criticism of that individual should be stigmatized and dismissed as anti-Semitism? What of our first Italian American...

Most conservatives, especially those on the FR, saw the Obama disaster coming from a mile off. When people express regret for supporting him, I feel like punching them in the mouth. These are the morons who should not be allowed to vote or procreate.
Draft Thomas Sowell for President.
LOL - nailed.
I completely agree. Those who supported and voted for him and regret it now did so because he was black and an accomplished con artist who had accomplished absolutely nothing.
They deserve no sympathy, they’re idiots.
GOD bless this man. Thanks for the ping jaz. He’s the best...most of the time.
Agreed, and well said.
Know this is “side bar” comment, but: tomorrow is Labor Day, the official start of th 2014 Mid-Term elections, coming due on Tuesday, November 4, 2014, across the country. I urge my fellow Freepers to not say, vote for this guy or vote for that gal...but, rather to say vote against any Democrat...no matter who they might be, to save our country!!! Kill the Democrat Party, politically and you effectively broom Obama into the flush toilet of failure.....where he (Obama) already is!!! And...repeat these same feelings on all your FR postings and to all your friends, patriots and kindred spirits!!!
Vote on November 4, 2014 to politically destroy the entire Democrat Party and....save our country. I sincerely believe this is our real, honest, last chance at saving this once great Republic!!!
“[Americans] have learned absolutely nothing from the disastrous results of the irresponsible self-indulgence of choosing a President of the United States on the basis of demographic characteristics, instead of individual qualifications.”
I’m predicting, Lather, Rinse, Repeat for 2016. :(
The fact that there are that few people that think he’s doing a bad job says a lot. And the last gop-e candidate didn’t think it would be this bad! Guess he didn’t observe too much during the lyin’ king first term. Not to astute there Mitt. If you’re that lame, no, you shouldn’t even think about running again. Holy crap! Will these asshats ever take their blinders off? Yet there are still those that proudly drive around with obie campaign stickers from both campaigns. WHAT! Totally un-recoverable morons. They gone!
I don't agree with this reasoning and rational, but I can understand it.
By putting someone who looks like obama into our highest office, to represent US and be our symbol and statement of America and, by natural born definition, the embodiment of an American, they have proven to everyone they aren't racist and race is NOT an issue.
Okay, now that we go that out of our system...WTF were you thinking the SECOND TIME you voted for him?!?!?!
The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made him their president."
There was a slogan going around in 2012 that said (paraphrased): “You voted for obama in 2008 to “prove” you weren’t a racist; vote against obama now to prove you’re not an idiot”
There sure were a boatload in ‘12 who failed the idiot test.
Ramirez is great, he gets it.
Sadly, as even Rush Limbaugh finally pointed out this week, 2014 & 2016 won’t be enough of a win to save our country if we don’t do the work to educate people about liberty, freedom, responsibility, and just being American...
Given that Obozo’s reputation is pretty much in the toilet now, I just wonder how long it will be before Jesse, Al, and the rest of the professional race-baiting, I’m-a-victim, professionals say: “The reason he was such a miserable failure as a President is because he’s really only half-black”.
I have said it before and I’ll say it again, Thomas Sowell should be required reading everywhere in America.
