Alexander the Great. Stonewall Jackson. George S. Patton. To this list of some of history's greatest military strategists, a new name must be added: that of Barack Obama. That is, if you agree with Joe Scarborough's take on President Obama's statement at yesterday's press conference that "we don't have a strategy yet" regarding possible attacks on ISIS in Syria.
According to Scarborough, speaking on today's Morning Joe, President Obama's "no strategy" statement was "straight out of The Art of War where when you were weak, you make your enemies think you were strong. When you were strong, you make your enemies think you were weak." It's what Scarborough would have done, he told viewers, if he were president. When Sam Stein said that he couldn't tell if Joe was joking, Scarborough assured him: "I'm serious. Dead serious . . . I am dead serious. I am not joking."

Barack Obama: brilliant military strategist. Joe Scarborough says Obama’s admission that US has no strategy is “straight of the Art of War.” Ping to Today show list.
If he hadn’t been blatantly wrong on every single issue in the middle east, I might accept this argument, but Obama is the farthest thing from a military strategy expert. His every discussion goes against historical precedent for effective foreign relations and war. Naming withdrawal dates. Showing weakness. Siding with extremists over allies.
He’s not clever, he’s dangerous.
Joe went off his meds again.
Didn’t know Scarborough was also a comedian.
It is actually quite hilarious watching apologists for this fool in DC go into contortions.
I just watched 1984 again the other day. We are living it now.
he;s an idiot who wants to cozy up to the communist siting next to him.
I have tried to watch that show a couple of times and cannot stomach it more than 5 minutes. They’re all nuts and way off this earth
So, uh, he’s been masquerading all this time and he’s actually Sun Tszu reincarnated? Who’d a guessed. PUHLEEEZ! No, seriously.
Note to Scarborough. The next Ping driver is more important to Obama than the security of our nation, you brainless dolt.
Its more out of Machiavelli's "The Prince", Keep an enemy at the gates even if you have to pay for him yourself.
Or he could be weak, and make our enemies think we are weak. Somtimes the simplest explanation is the correct one.
It's a stretch to believe that there is anyone inside the White House fence who doesn't associate Sun Tzu with spicy takeout chicken.
Sounds more like something out of "The Tao of Pooh"...
How does the downsizing of the U.S. Military fit into this? Stronger but smaller?
You opened the door for ISIS.
"Oh Magic Conch, what shall I do?"
"Nothing."
"The Conch Has Spoken! ALL HAIL THE MAGIC CONCH!!"
The one time his administration actually DID something specific against Muslim terrorism (killing Osama bin Ladan) HE (Obama) had dithered and dallied about about for several days, and the “to kill” mission was approved ONLY after he had left the White House for several days. Aides (Jarrett ?) actually said “Go” ... Not Obama.
Obama had to be drug into the photo op (er, briefing room) to sit for a photograph showing the final assault from the golf course!
I’ve read Sun Tzu’s ‘The Art of War’.
I doubt Obozo or Scarborough have..................
Once we pulled out and allowed this to happen, there are no good options other than to let this thing play out.
Let these people fight out themselves. Let the Russians come in here.
I actually agree with Obama that we’re going to do nothing, but make no mistake, this man is a coward. Once you understand that, his every move makes sense. He play golf as a diversion.
He is clueless.
Point is, we as the strongest nation on earth, can afford to do nothing, but we will be hit...we will be hit again. Our people will be beheaded. It will get worse, before it gets better, and circumstances will force this man to rely on the military to bail him out.
I fear for the safety of our armed forces with this man as president.
If they ever start to report honestly about Obama, where would it end? It’s a slippery slope, I tell ya...
