Looking at HWY 12 (the new section) looks like it buckled and had some lateral movement of a foot or so. Caltrans making repairs.
We didn't have any damage here.

In Napa and Am Can Friday and Saturday on sales calls. Looks like I’ll have to push back some appointments in downtown Napa that I scheduled for this week. Crazy....

Even with all the store-front windows broken, no evidence of looting. :)Downtown Napa is very expensive real estate. The Mexicans making up most of the ethnic minorities living in Napa are generally from families who've lived there for generations. No one is going to loot their own business....

Take this as a wake up call. No pun intended. All folks in the Bay area time to check on your EQ supplies. Rotate your water stocks if you have them. Consider that there may be a encore.

Waited 20 years to see if the house I designed and built was earthquake proof. Rode it out fine. The interesting sight was huge flashes to the east and west horizon during the whole thing. Thought it was lightning but turned out to be transformers and sub stations putting on a light show.

It sure woke me up.I was awake seven minute prior to the quake (maybe there were undetectable shock waves preceding the big rumble). This one lasted a relatively long time and I couldn't figure out the epicenter or magnitude right away. Here (east SF Bay) it felt like a 4.6 or 4.8, as no items were flying off the shelves as they would have been with a mag. 5 or greater.

Did the punk-er happen to identify with a certain New York shock jock with the last name of Stern?Ha! Hard to tell, started off sounding professional then came out with his remark and was cut. Lady news-reader didn't seem flustered and immediately apologized. I thought the networks had a few second time-delay for these phone interviews with callers-in with eyewitness info.
