An Albany area farm which rebuffed efforts by a same-sex couple to hold their wedding at the site has been fined $10,000 and ordered to pay the women $1,500 each for their mental anguish.
In New York State Division of Human Rights v. Liberty Ridge Farm, 10157952/ 10157963, Administrative Law Judge Migdalia Pares of the Bronx rejected the owners' argument that the farm, which is their home, is not a place of public accommodation and is therefore not subject to the anti-discrimination provisions of the Human Rights Law.
the Giffords are considering their next step, including a possible appeal based on the Hobby Lobby ruling.

The Giffords need a Cousin Vinny who could visit the couple and strongly suggest they withdraw their complaint.

Do they allow others to have weddings there? The article requires a sign-up to read.

does it matter?
I let people in my house, does that mean I cannot choose not to let someone in my house?

If you have a business charging admission to your home, then you could not discriminate.

Mental anguish my posterior... More likely rabid, suing, litigious, lesbo, starts with a “b” and ends with an itch (es).
You mean these poor downtrodden lesbos couldn’t find the million other places where they could hold their sham wedding.

"The matter involves the Liberty Ridge Farm, a picturesque venue in northern Rensselaer County where Cynthia and Robert Gifford offer their facilities for celebrations, ranging from Sweet 16 parties to corporate events. They also advertise the site's availability for weddings and host about a dozen nuptials annually."

Businesses discriminate all the time. That Google ad program declines gun-related ads for one thing.
They should have started a private membership organization that people can join to get the ability to hold weddings there. lol.

I let people in my house, does that mean I cannot choose not to let someone in my house? I think the key is whether or not the "house" is actually a house or (at least temporarily) a business establishment.
You have complete control over who may come into your house But that's less true with a business establishment.
Having said that, this is an obvious case where a religious exemption should apply.

If I have a business of any kind, I can discriminate all I like. I can choose to do business with anyone I want to. It is called free enterprise.
When the government is telling you who you can and cannot do business with, therein lies tyranny.

The Civil Rights Act of 1964 put the camel’s nose under the tent for this kind of oppression. It’s why Goldwater voted against it.
