You may recall that on Friday, in what would have been a Christmas Miracle were it not several months early, Congress actually got something done. It was the passage of a bill approving $225M in funding for Israel’s Iron Dome defensive missile system. It was quite the bipartisan effort in retrospect, garnering an overwhelming 395 votes in the House with only eight in opposition. One of those eight was Minnesota Congressman Keith Ellison, and as The Corner reports, he went out on the weekend gab circuit to explain why he didn’t support the measure.
“Because a cease-fire is what we should prioritize now,” he said when asked to explain his vote on Meet the Press. “A cease-fire protects civilians on both sides — it doesn’t just say, ‘We’re only concerned about people on one side.’”
He pointed to the devastation he witnessed during his trips to Gaza.

this sounds like Jeremiah wright, Keith Ellison, et al. This is what I expect Obama wishes he could say publicly. This was the view of isolationist Americans regarding Great Britain when she stood alone against the Nazis. Israel is standing almost alone against all the Islamic terrorist states and groups who daily call for the destruction if Israel. There is no rational path for Israel to survive as a nation in the face if these overwhelming satanic verses.
What future is in store for those who did not lift a finger to help the least of Jesus' brethren, and labored to prevent others from helping through government action or inaction ?
We have to defend the US, if it isn't too late, against the global threats bringing the US into the chaos. Besides that, I'm not comfortable with Israel's killing of civilians. It's creating decades more of people who hate them.

Dresden, Berlin, Hiroshima, Nagasaki; how can Israel defend herself without killing civilians as collateral damage ? It seems the angst written above could have its roots protesting against America and Great Britain for defeating Germany and Japan.

He has a point. You know how distracted government gets. If they're looking at Iron Dome, then they can't do cease fire and vice versa. Plus, look at all the damage Iron Dome has done to Gaza.
