Back in 2010, and amid some of the worst economic times of Barack Obama’s failed presidency, I lunched with an entrepreneur whose signage business was booming both domestically and globally. I asked this person how he thrived despite all the political barriers to growth, and he said “I’m way too smart for Obama, and I’ll always work around him.”
The entrepreneur’s confident response came to mind as I watched Dinesh D’Souza’s latest documentary, America: Imagine the World Without Her. D’Souza properly loves the U.S., as does this writer, but his documentaries (the other was 2016: Obama’s America, released to much fanfare in 2012) pander to the desire among some in the conservative movement to play hapless victim to the all-powerful Barack.
To believe D’Souza and others who are helping define this ascendant strain of victim conservatism, a man they deem aloof, unfocused and not terribly competent has somehow managed in six short years to transform a nation once defined by staggering individual initiative and entrepreneurial abundance into a land of indolent takers. Victimhood has a new red-state address, and Obama must be flattered to know that for being Barack, he’s sapped the vitality of the most productive people on earth. All of this would be scary if D’Souza’s documentary were at all grounded in reality.

This article is total crap.
This article is a pile of horse manure. I’ve been thinking for quite a while that too many hired hacks employed by Forbes have gone over to the dark side in their commentary and editorials. One too many articles with an outright Dem slant, even though business oriented. This is one of those articles.
Summary: a disguised attempt to portray D’Souza as being wrong about his facts in his films, that Obama inherited Bush’s problems, and that the Republicans are really the ones to blame. There saved you 15 mins of reading...

it’s a compelling read.
The books are always better than the movie. He made some good points in the movie, particularly in reference to slavery.

This writer is laughably wrong. If pointing out that Obama is killing America is adopting the victim mentality what are we left to say/feel as he destroys our country and makes us fund it? This guy is a moron.
Uh huh. The old trick of finding one guy at the top to “prove” to the rest of us how easy it is.
We couldn't have a president like Obama if we did not have the institutionalized voter fraud that put him there.
Dinesh d’Souza is telling the unvarnished truth about our current plight and what has brought it about. If he succeeds and our country is saved, we will surely establish a real press that tells what’s actually going on in our country, and publications like Forbes Magazine will disappear. That’s the basis for this rant.
