Another day, another VA tragedy. An Albany nurse claims dying New York Veterans were denied painkillers. Instead they were given salt water mixtures. Valerie Riviello, a nurse at the Albany Stratton VA medical center, claims that fellow employees had reported to her that dying veterans were denied painkillers such as morphine to ease their pain. Instead, they were given salt water mixtures.
Riviello told the Times Union:
Among stories that nurse Valerie Riviello has heard from other employees at the Albany VA is one about dying patients who were supposed to receive morphine to alleviate pain, but instead got a salt-and-water mixture. A nurse treating hospice patients stole the vials of morphine, according to Riviello. She said managers delayed reporting the problem.

I’ve had intravenous morphine and you know it when it hits. If these folks had been on it more than one day, I bet they complained and got written up for whining.
Being in long term pain (months) is the worse thing, they couldn’t give these folks another injectable narcotic or even a pill? How do they care so little; how do they sleep, I guess with morphine!
Hey, I’m all ready to blame zero but it’s the floor supervisor who is in charge and responsible.
People like that are a dime a dozen in New England.
Morphine was the final solution (and I don't use that term lightly, but very deliberately) to an aggressive cancer which had metastacized into his bones and was extremely painful. Adavan and similar anti-agitation meds were of ineffective.
At that time I had not known the Orthodox petition "A Christian ending to our life, painless, blameless, and a good defense before the judgement seat of Christ".
Now I fully understand its importance, nay, necessity.
At the time of impending death,the priest says this or another similar prayer. I remember when my mother, of blessed memory, was on her death bed, she told me to “Go to the priest; tell him to say the prayers. He’ll know what you mean.” I did and he did.

Occam's Razor says that that is what is happening.
This is truly worth righteous retribution in the form of revenge. In effect, the doctors and nurses involved were committing acts of torture. And because of their victims, this transcends legal retribution which would be unlikely in any regard.
Perhaps the best method would start by administering them a large dose of an endorphine blocker. Endorphines are the bodies natural painkillers, and when blocked, the person affected goes through pain similar to heroin withdrawal.
From there, only creativity would determine how much suffering is adequate.
They should be grateful that they didn’t get a bullet to the back of the head. Socialists/totalitarians do not like Americans and dislike America’s finest even more.

Actually it is. the buck stops with the President. He needs to put the correct people in charge (Those that know what they are doing and can handle it)of which he has NOT done.
A good boss would on day one state that heads will roll if their first response is not towards the could of their clients...fear of not doing right can be a great motivator. instead they are only fearful of rating others out.........
Give me the person, people, who ordered, okayed, this. They will know pain.
You make a good point but Odinga isn’t the one who appoints the nursing supervisor, if that was his job, can you imagine, he’d have no time for golf!
It IS his job to set the tone for Federal agencies and appoint competent administrators (if there is such a thing). Who are responsible for appointing the nursing supervisor as well as ensuring the morphine is sold to the correct gangs on the street as well as employing his crony’s.
Top down rules should go ALL the way down which would include nursing supervisors, nurses, CNA’s, Janitors, Lab technicians and food preparers.

If this happens to me, the First lady will go postal. And yes, she is qualified on various weapons.
