As the curtain is pulled up on all the shenanigans involved in one way or another with last weeks Mississippi GOP Senate primary, the cast of characters amazes.
At the storys center is a group calling itself Mississippi Conservatives. The group is on the receiving end of furious charges of race-baiting and racism that have smeared not only Tea Party candidate Chris McDaniel but the larger GOP and the GOP Establishment that participated in the smear. Weve been through the names of contributors over there at the Federal Election Commission, and looked into some of those involved.
The still unfolding story involves everyone from a contributor to President Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Vice President Joe Biden to former Vice President Al Gore and Democrat Senators that are being targeted by the National Republican Senatorial Committee in the 2014 elections.
Also involved? Two-co-authors of Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebuss autopsy report aka the Growth and Opportunity Project that made much of outreach to African-Americans. One of them an RNC member, the other a former top aide to Florida Governor Jeb Bush.
Lets start there with the autopsy report authors.

I think about how the GOP-e leadership on the Hill has blasted Tea Party conservatives and the “up-start” “meddling” “outside” “fringe” groups that support them.
Makes you think real hard about who you contribute to - when you read Jeffrey Lord’s list - contributors who give with ease to both the GOP-e and the Dems.
I have to conclude that the “outside” groups don’t want their donations going into a GOP-e/Dem political slush fund, but rather to support true Tea Party conservatives.
It also makes me think real hard about why elected Republicans refuse to campaign against an incumbent in the primary - it would seem that the GOP-e doesn’t want to dip into that slush fund, if they don’t have to.
Just wait till names from Team Romney show up. And they will. I wonder what the excuses will be then. I wonder how many will finally admit that The GOP is no less evil than the Democrats.
And I wonder how many people regardless will continue excusing the GOP when all the evidence shows they are working against the right wing of their own party and no one else.
Your Post #18 was spot-on.
I feel the same way as you.
a back of envelope says these biz people who need crony deals from government gave 325,000 to this one PAC. Not much when you think of all that was spent in MS but if 20,000 was used for the anti-republican ads and mailing then they sure are shady folks for being true conservatives
Yes, that’s true. Donations are basically insurance. Just shows you what’s important in politics.
The only answer is to donate to individual candidates, using recommendations of groups as guidance but doing ones own research.
The one group I do trust is NumbersUSA. They're one-issue EVerify and stopping illegals from getting to and being in the US. I suspect their 100% rating to Brat has more to do with his victory than the ptb want to admit.
Sanderson, Mississippi’s “chicken man” gave $100K twice. As far as I can tell his one issue is “AMNESTY”. He’d rather complete the countries transformation into a 3rd world country so he can still hire cheap labor that will work in what he and haley barbour describe as substandard and horrible working conditions than to modernize and employ robotics.
“Color as edging to the Tea Party side here.”
The “TEA PARTY” doesn’t really exist, it’s the people on the Conservative side of the Republican Party that realize their party is excluding them and in an effort to replace them with those who are more “progressive”. I don’t believe they actually want to take the WH, congress or senate, they seem to relish in being the second party and Conservatives are not content with this.
It looks like the article has been pulled. Do you have another link??
The page referenced at The American Spectator does not exist!
How about that, it’s been pulled.
When the dust finally settles, regardless of who gets sworn in as the senator in January the Mississippi GOP establishment have ripped the Republican party in that state to shreds. I cannot see how this rift will ever be repaired and the civil war will continue until one side finishes off the other.
This looks to be it:

When I looked it had been pulled. Anyone got another way to view it?
c 35. For now.
I bought some Sandersons Farms boneless chicken breasts earlier this week and they were nasty. Blood, guts, globs of fat and cut bone bits tucked up under the beauty side. My first and last purchase from them.
I am having a problem reading this thing, appears English is his second language.
