Unless they intend to stop them from crossing at all, its a meaningless gesture. If illegals cross and are caught, they will be turned over to the border patrol and it will be business as usual.

The word should be “sending.” I don’t see anything that suggests that any troops have been sent yet. Call me when they are there, armed appropriately, and taking charge of the Texas southern border. Call me again, when any Fed agent is arrested for interfering.

Fair is fair.

If the Prez can up and decide What The Law Is, then really how long will it be before states also do that....?

Colorado did. Indeed, even individual cities (many in Calif) have very openly been saying they have been doing that FOR YEARS.

Maybe individuals should also do that..?

I understand that Texas maintains a ‘State Guard’ which is tactically organized and equipped with the previous generation of heavy equipment purchased from the National Guard as it is retired. Is this the force being described. A state guard is truly the state’s military force with little or no federal control as the National Guard is under significant federal administrative control.

Step one, America's enemies convinced the weak-minded that rounding up illegal aliens was an impossible task. Step two, America's enemies compound the problem by opening the door to a tidal wave of additional illegal aliens. Step three, America's enemies pack up the illegals and spread them across America making them difficult to round up. Step four, America's enemies pursue "rights" for these illegals, including voting rights. You can see how this ends. These are the acts of "domestic enemies".

BREAKING: Texas Sends Armed Troops to Defend the Border

The necessity of a state to take action such as this should warrant IMMEDIATE IMPEACHMENT and REMOVAL of the kenyan usurper!

Looks like we have fundamentally transformed ourselves back to the days of Emiliano Zapata and Pancho Villa.

Where is a Black Jack Pershing when you need him?

There’s a story on Drudge coming from AZ Central, that the only thing keeping the immigration surge from becoming worse is Mexican gangs guarding their side of the border and only allowing those who pay them to cross.

Now if we could only get an agreement with the gangs to keep them all out in return for us paying them, it would solve several problems. Immoral and unethical? Well, nothing else has worked.

Stunning: DHS solicited bids for vendor to handle 65,000 unaccompanied minors — IN JANUARY!

The Obama administration’s claim to have been surprised by the wave of children flooding over out borders may turn out to be another political lie of the year. Sundance of Conservative Treehouse noticed a very peculiar advertisement:

On January 29th of this year, the federal government posted an advertisement seeking bids for a vendor contract to handle “Unaccompanied Alien Children“.

Not just any contract mind you, but a very specific contract – for a very specific number of unaccompanied minors: 65,000.

• Why would DHS and ICE be claiming “surprise” by the current influx of unaccompanied minors on the border in June, when they were taking bids for an exact contract to handle the exact situation in January?

• Secondly, how could they possibly anticipate 65,000 unaccompanied minors would be showing up at the border, when the most ever encountered in a previous year was 5,000 total ?

The bid specifics are even more suspicious:

[...] The Contractor shall provide unarmed escort staff, including management, supervision, manpower, training, certifications, licenses, drug testing, equipment, and supplies necessary to provide on-demand escort services for non-criminal/non-delinquent unaccompanied alien children ages infant to 17 years of age, seven (7) days a week, 365 days a year. Transport will be required for either category of UAC or individual juveniles, to include both male and female juveniles. There will be approximately 65,000 UAC in total: 25% local ground transport, 25% via ICE charter and 50% via commercial air.

[...] In addition, the Contractor shall have personnel who are able to communicate with juveniles in their own designated language(s).

Link to the ad here.

This stinks to high heaven. It is time to subpoena the people who placed the ad to give testimony in Congress. We may have a Cloward-Piven strategy on illegal immigration underway.

Soon, we’ll have to defend our borders with other states from invading federal barbarians.
