I believe their rules call for hard copies.

Find who the emails went to or were from the emails should still be in those other places.

I work in IT

Had to impound hard drives from people’s computer;s for
legal reasons- usually after been fired and using that for
case against them (Ie having porn on drive, evidence of
fraud, etc)

The hard drive is just a diversion. Backups are the answer, assuming they haven’t been surgically removed, which is what I think has happened; or at least what the other side tried to accomplish.

Emails get archived on servers. You just have to find out which one.

If someone thought destroying the hard drive and the information on it would protect the president, it won’t. If anything it will convince more people that there is something they want to hide, and that something has to be pretty serious. This will haunt Obama till the end of his term.

The hard drive is irrelevant. The server backups should have everything necessary, or the IT guys have committed a federal felony.

In other news...

Donald Trump filed for personal bankruptcy today claiming massive losses stemming from a hole in his pants’ pocket.

I been in IT for over 30 years. There are copies of those emails somewhere. May have to look at DR backups, rebuild mail stores/mailboxes, or even get some folks to flip bits. I remember going to a PROFS upgrade class a couple of years ago (old IBM email system) and this fella that I was in class with worked for the NSA and we discussed the retrievial of “deleted” emails from one Lt. Col. involved in the IRAN-CONTRA stuff.

You know, when Arthur Andersen got sued out of business over Enron, it was the destryoying of records that put them out of business.

The email server has the email. It can be retrieved unless it was purposefully searched for her emails and they were removed from it.

So? What about the Exchange server? Nightly local backups? Offsite tape backups? DR backups?
