I know I’m about to tackle an issue that many black people are going to be upset to hear me talking about. But the reason I need to is that you’re not going to hear anywhere else about the state of black unemployment and black poverty in American since president Obama took office.
Now the president does acknowledge there is a problem when it comes to how young men of color are doing, although he blames in on the fact that many of them don’t have fathers and so forth. That is clearly a factor, but when you look at economic statistics now compared to before Obama took office, you need to recognize that one primary thing has changed, and that is that we now have Obama’s economic policies in place.
And that is a huge contributing factor to the biggest problem of all for black Americans: Too many of them don’t have a job. When you have a stalled economy – as we have ever since Obama took office, and still have today with the most recent quarter showing a full 1.0 percent retraction of GDP – the people hurt the most are those already at the lowest portion of the income scale.
That is the very black Americans who have grown up struggling with poverty, and who in many cases lacked fathers. The very people it was thought would be helped by having Barack Obama in the White House. They have not been helped. They are struggling more than they did throughout most of the previous decade.

It is the primary determinant in whether or not someone goes to prison, and also in whether or not we have to provide everything for them. True, they need an economy in which to prosper, but the most roaring economy will do nothing for people without families except swell their benefits.
The Dems don’t seem to mind though, they are touting millions of illegals to take what work is out there so it’s obvious they plan to keep black America right where they are, with no hope of ever tasting the American dream.
With job skills like gangbanging, thugging, pimping,and drug dealing, it is difficult to find mainstream employment.
Millions of angry, unemployed, violent young black folks and a comparable cohort of illegal aliens similarly prone to violence and criminal activity conveniently serve the interests of the democrat party. A standing army of felons makes it easy to impose any emergency measure they want, virtually any time they want. It’s like the hordes of muslims in the Mideast available for riot any time the despots want a convenient reason to clamp down.
When talking about the state of black America, the issue of black on black and black on white crime should not be ignored.
I think that is incorrect. Everyone has an Obamaphone. Welfare eligibility is no longer being checked, unless the recipient is white. And, law enforcement is allowing racist hate criminals to run wild. I think Obama has made positive difference.
Too many of them don’t have a job.
Could it be that the prospective employer does not want to hire a potential lawsuit?
Could it be that he only want’s to hire people who can speak English instead of Ebonics?
Could it be that he doesn’t want to hire a criminal with a bad attitude?
Could it be that he doesn’t want to hire someone who cannot read or write?
Could it be that he doesn’t want to hire a doper and a thief?
And (most of all) does he not want to hire an employee who is totally exempt from all of the rules of a civilized society and one who he cannot fire without serious legal problems and costs?
Hey! They all have the opportunity to go to the public school system and learn just like the others who go. /sarc

VERY interesting that the black community and “their leaders” are not screaming about both current illegal immigration and the amnesty that their party is demanding.
No single group of people is being hurt more by illegal immigrants being here, and no single group will suffer more from the Dems proposed amnesty.......
Don’t they also realize that when the immigrants start taking the welfare money, that also will diminish their position politically in welfare arguments, favoring the immigrants?

White is a color
Red is a color
Yellow is a color
and agreed, Black is a color.
Perhaps if these same “people of color” were described by their “race” it would make more sense.

Those are all forms of alternative employment for those who can’t find/don’t want/or don’t qualify for mainstream employment. I am surprised the Bureau of Labor Statistics doesn’t count them as employed.
Though you’ll likely never hear them admit it, I get the sense that a huge portion of Black America is actually rather embarrassed that our First Black President is doing such an awful job of it.
They admire winners.
