WASHINGTON (AP) — Republican tea party forces are rejoicing and the party establishment is somber or altogether silent in the wake of House Majority Leader Eric Cantor's primary defeat at the hands of political neophyte David Brat, an unflinching foe of loosening immigration laws.

Speaker John Boehner praised Cantor as "a good friend and a great leader, and someone I've come to rely upon on a daily basis" in a statement that steered clear of the issue that Brat put at the center of his campaign and has divided the party for years.

Hopefully the lesson the republican politicians will take away from this is that their bedrock base does not want an all powerful central government running everything.

We don't want a nanny state with more federal employees making more regulations and demanding more forms and more taxes.

We need less social engineering and more border enforcement.

Bohner is an impediment and conspires with the enemy. Too many in the GOP are not our friends and rightly belong in the other party. They are dangerous democratic plants in otherwise conservative districts who lie to gain power. Get rid of them all.

Yeah, I didn’t hear it but a friend said Colmes was going on about how this was just a tiny group of people and how running on the national debt wasn’t going to be enough in Nov.

Well, Alan, what earth-shattering platform will Dems run on if the national debt is such a loser? It’s scary how oblivious these people are to America’s serious problems.

Every defeat for a member of the GOPe is also a defeat for the Democrats .Losing Cantor means bye bye to amnesty this year and as more establishment types in the GOP, hopefully bite the dust, the less the remaining RINOS will be willing to cooperate with the Darkside. Make no mistake Cantor’s defeat is a going to reverberate all over establishment DC.

So a Catholic College professor is okay now?

Really?

A "Catholic college professor" qualifies as "evil" (lesser of two)?

Would that be because he's a college professor?

Or because he's a Catholic college professor?

Okay, so now I want you to explain how by Brat’s being Catholic now means he isn’t pro-life. Frankly, I find your argument speciously suspicious, ESPECIALLY when EVERY one of the <50% Pro-Life Ratings you cite are for DEMOCRATS!

It seems to me you have some ax to grind against Catholic in general and have pervertedly warped your argument.

Bark that stuff up another tree. It ain’t working here.

The GOP-E has had control of the Nation’s purse strings for over 4 years.

Boehner has been in control as Speaker of the House for over 4 years.

Obama has thus been at the mercy of Boehner and the GOP-E for over 4 years.

Obama thus could not have been as successful as he has been without the full cooperation of the GOP-E and ESPECIALLY Speaker Boehner, Leader Cantor, Whip McCarthy, Economist Ryan, Chairman Mike Rogers, Chairman Issa and loose cannon Peter King of NY.

As long as the Member Republicans in the US House choose to keep in place the above Leadership team, Obama will be able to continue his personal race to the bottom.

Obama, Reid, Holder and Pelosi are just doing what they have been raised up to do: Destroy America, ASAP. They are Public Enemy Number One.

Those who refuse to oppose the destruction of our Republic are Public Enemy Number Two.

BTW, when have “ - - conservatives - - - ,” Boehner, Cantor, or Ryan EVER “Conserved” anything when doing battle with Obama, Reid, Holder or Pelosi?

____________________

The only thing that matters in politics is to stay on offense.

The GOP-E has perfected the art of always staying on defense.

Thus, the GOP-E will continue to lose elections by wide margins.

R Sc Rep. Trey Gowdy is an exception to the shunning of Offense by the GOP-E.

Gowdy has the required fire-in-the-belly to attack, Attack, ATTACK!

I stand with Gowdy, Lee and Cruz, who so far have told the truth, and then refused to apologize for telling the TRUTH.

The Republican Party has come a long ways since 2012.

In 2012, then GOP-E candidate Romneycare Romney published a book entitled “No Apologies.”

Also in 2012 Romneycare Romney told the truth about the 47 % who pay no personal FI Taxes, and thus would not vote for him.

Two weeks later, Romney apologized, saying “I was completely wrong.”

The GOP-E lost the support of Conservatives when GHW Bush lied to us about “Read my lips, NO NEW TAXES!”

The GOP-E lost the support of the “Hold-your-nose-when-you-vote” segment in 2008 by voting for McCain.

The GOP-E revealed itself to be a dedicated loser when they chose to run Romneycare Romney against Obamacare Obama.

Now we have “Scandal Coverup Artist” Sobber Boehner caving in to Obama, Reid, Holder and Pelosi on a weekly basis.

We need to march into the US House of Representatives and “escort” out the above mentioned “Leaders” for a TEA Party “reception” on the Lawn of the US House.

I have the tar, y’all bring the feathers!

Did I miss something?? Catholic or Professor makes no difference as long as their values are conservative. Content of character only matters.

You didn't miss anything other than a certain element of hard-headed nimrods think fighting Rome is more important than any or all of the other combined threats we are facing.

There is an equally mouthy cabal of bigots who think the same about Mormons.

the major Tea Party organizations

Many of those have been co-opted by the moderate/centrist [liberal] self-interest people.

Ironically, in the last couple of weeks, many on the GOP side have claimed to be 'conservative'. Karl Rove recently said on FoxNews that the GOP has to run on 'conservative' ideals. Cantor ran as a conservative. Graham claimed the 'conservative' mantle.

They run as 'conservatives' and govern as tone-deaf 'moderates/centrists'.

I don't see any U.S. Senators on that list. I'm sure our village idiot (Bob Casey, Jr.) deserves to be there.

As for Jason Altmire, D-Pa, you may happily note that his district was combined with that of Keith Rothfus, a genuine pro-life Catholic, and Altmire is no longer a member of congress as of January 2013.

Frankly, you’re a fruitcake. You’ve got a ‘Catholic’ problem, and calling (implying) yourself a Christian isn’t helping. As for the Conservative part you also imply, it is very hard to tell between all the fruits and nuts in your argument.

So you’re a “Christian” that doesn’t have a problem with Catholics? My guess is you’re a liberal plant.

Geez...what a novice you are. Liberal plant? Pathetic. Go see my home page here.

You are doing a disservice to Sarah Palin in attaching your her name to your screen name.

Why don’t you bundle up some of your “Catholic” rants, insinuations and attacks and send them to her for her comment?

You never answered why you had only Democrats in your detailed baby killer ‘data’, you never answered any real questions. You’re only retorts were “Go to Hull” and something about Conservative Christians and how I don’t speak for them. If you want me to go to hell, then say it.

If anybody is a ‘liberal’ plant around here, it’s you. I don’t need to justify myself to you one bit, even though I consider myself a Christian and completely conservative.
