At least five killed in admin HQ blast as fighter jets deployed to Lugansk, Ukraine

At least five people are reported killed after an explosion in Lugansk administration building. The blast came as Kiev deployed fighter jets to the city in eastern Ukraine. This and heavy gunfire on the ground caused panic among civilians.

The death toll was first reported by RIA Novosti; later it was confirmed by local self-defense forces, who said the blast was caused by the army's fighter jets striking the building.

“Ukraine’s air force struck Lugansk downtown at 16.00 pm. Military aircraft made a targeted strike, deploying cluster bombs. The administration building is partially destroyed,” the government of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic (LNR) said.

Many wounded were trapped inside the administration headquarters, which caught on fire. About six ambulance vehicles have arrived at the site. The death toll may rise.

Those killed - three women and two men - are all civilians, witnesses told RT. One of them was the LNR’s health minister, Natalia Arkhipova. During the air-strike, she was talking to another woman on the administration building’s steps, the self-proclaimed republic’s premier, Vasiliy Nikitin, said.

Large blood stains inside the HQ could be seen on live-streaming video from the area, with pieces of glass and stones also visible on the floor. The camera operator was choking with smoke. On the outside, many windows are shattered, shell fragments covering the nearby area and dark plumes of smoke are coming from the fourth floor.

Same with the Obama administration is saying Syria’s election is ‘not’valid....because it’s a nation at war...yet Ukraine’s election is valid even though it too is at war.

As we know this is all about US interests in Ukraine....it’s all going to backfire as we now see....on the Ukrainian people unfortunately.....

US Policy always seems to destroy a country and create chaos when it’s agenda is resisted......makes it look like that it’s done on purpose when these nations errupt in war ...then the US always blames everyone but themselves.

I really never thought I’d see my own country doing what it is over and over again. It really sickens me as it is not the country I have known....all under this damnable Globalist push for control of nations!

Of course the US is on board...I am convinced they’ve been doing so since Brennen was there...thereafter everything esculated......and this before Porsh took office. Porsh too was on board ‘before’ the Reformation..he was our inside guy because Yulia was never going to fit the bill as too contraversial and un-coperative...she is a nutcase.

IMF has said clearly if the East doesn’t go with the package no deal and NO MONEY.....which of course is exactly what the purpose is...destroy Ukriane and make it a debtor nation.

The players have no concern for the lives of the Ukrainian people......it’s all about control and power who gets it when all is said and done.

So is this:

Representatives of the Ukrainian army killed over 25 wounded self-defense fighters who were patients at the Krasny Liman hospital, said the chairman of the Donetsk People’s Republic Supreme Council, Denis Pushilin.

“Indeed, we can now confirm the killing of the wounded in the hospital – more than 25 people were killed. And this figure can rise. This is a blatant war crime; it is genocide,” Pushilin said in an interview to Russian TV channel Rossiya-24 on Wednesday.

The Ukrainian army shelled the eastern village of Krasny Liman on Tuesday as part of a military crackdown on the southeastern regions of Donetsk and Lugansk.

CAWW, I’m am nowhere near convinced that there are so many Russians in the East that want to leave the Ukraine.

Where has all the uproar by these people been over the last 20 years? I’m just not buying it. I speak with people in that region and haven’t found one yet that wants to break away and join Russia. Granted it’s only about ten people, but they do refer to Putin as Putler or reference his actions as Hitler-like.

Perhaps I’m just running into the wrong people, but so far I’m not able to agree significant portions of these people want to leave. Some may. I don’t doubt that. In any population there will be differing opinions.

Didn't mean it If i mislead you to thinking I believe the Eastern Russians want to go with Russia...I do not believe that. I do think they want a republic within Ukraine where they have self determination...much like our states here where Washington is our capital but states determine much of their business.

I think they are genuinely afraid of the Questionable intentions of the Rada...it's now being represented by much of the Solvada/PrivateSector and I can understand their concerns...just look at the bombing and the oppresion now, not to mention the Elections....all which support their concerns and fears.

I do believe, however, that after Kiev began bombing the area many of the people were thrown into thinking there was no hope of Kiev ever taking the Eastern Russians concerns into consideration...Heck they saw their Pres. candidate beaten and such til he had to withdraw) (just how is one to think clearly when being bombed and there's a war zone daily)...I think people are looking for an escape from the fighting and deaths...and watching their communities being destroyed.

I don’t think Putin’s played his hand far enough yet to bring out the hammer.....he has other options yet. No doubt we’ve seen an increase of military power given to the Eastern fighters, and I suspect this will increase to where there will be air coverage as well....’before’he sends in an army on foot.

But once and if the tipping comes....he’ll hit quite hard and in a way unsuspected.

I don't know if you've seen this or I just missed it but CNN finally got it right.

The pro-Russian leadership in the city immediately accused the Ukrainian air force of carrying out the attack. A fighter jet had been flying overhead at the time, and social media video appeared to show it firing cannon or rockets. The authorities in Kiev denied its planes had been involved. Initially, the anti-terrorist operation said the explosion originated from inside the building, then that an anti-aircraft missile operated by the separatists had misfired, reacting to heat from an air-conditioning system on the outside of the building.

But a CNN investigation in Luhansk has found clear evidence that whatever detonations hit the building and the adjoining park came from the air. The tops of trees were splintered, and a series of small craters — about a dozen — had been blasted in a straight line, starting in the park and reaching the walls of the building, blowing out many of its windows and spraying the area with jagged shrapnel. That's what appears to have killed most of the victims and injured 20 more.

The pattern of the craters clearly indicated some sort of strafing, according to a munitions expert at the scene with CNN. Their size suggested 30-millimeter ordnance, he said, which is standard equipment on the Su-25, a ground attack fighter, and the Su-27 — both combat aircraft operated by Ukraine.

Having states within Ukraine sounds reasonable to me.

We both abhor the airstrike if that is what it was. It may have been. I do know for a fact that the thugs in the Eastern Ukraine have been killing innocents as well, so the air-strike is much less meaningful in light of that.

At worsts, both sides truly suck. And the problem with what goes on the in the East, is that nobody wears uniforms, and you don’t know what nation’s citizens are involved, who is paying their way, and what their real agenda is.

It’a real problem. I think we in the West are kidding ourselves when we think we know what’s really going on.

I do not think the Ukrainians are thrilled with Kiev. The ones I talk to see problems there too. It’s just a real mess.
